Unfortunately, Patrick and Ellen had to bear the burdon of the horrible, horrible story lines that the multiple writers dumpted on them. They are the focus of what made Grey's popular, and this year was totally unbelieveable and sometimes down right disgusting. The TR situation in no way deserved an Emmy, and his storyline is also rediculous. They'd better buckle down next year or I'm back to CSI. My comment for the entire season was "What were they thinking?".

TR, Katie, Sandra and Chanda deserved their nod totally and completely. Ellen deserved one too, but the other actresses were just too good. TR and Katie got their nom for their wonderful work this year, not because of IW. Tired of some bitter fans whining about it. All the critics agree they did amazing job. And in no way did Patrick Dempsey deserve a nomination, for what, looking good?

i think Shonda left her show behind in favor of new opportunities. she can't do it all. Ellen + Patrick (mostly) paid the price. The whole season was so hot and cold. I'll still be watching, but I am hoping the show will be re-constructed and meredith + derek will be intact.

Ellen Pompeo deserved a nod for her amazing performance this past year as Meredith Grey. She was truly amazing. I was very sad and shocked to see she was totally ignored, even though she is in one of the toughest groups, The leading ladies of Drama. Still she deserved the recognition, i feel it was stolen away from her. Congrats to the other cast members, the whole cast did great even though the writing was crapy this year. I hope Shonda Rhimes and the whole writing team on Grey's will wake up and do something to give Ellen and Patrick what they deserve. They are excellent actors, Specially Ellen Pompeo.

For Grey's, not having Ellen Pompeo nominated for the Emmey she deserves is one harsh blow and wake up call for the writers, but Ellen is the one who has to take the hit, The lead of the show. I think its some sort of message to the Shonda Rhimes, but poor Ellen Pompeo is the one who suffers. She did wonders in season 3. She took that crapy writing and turned it into something worth wathcing and looking forward to with her amazing down to earth very real emmotional acting. I can only imagine hoe she feels, but I hope she will talk to Shonda and the writers seriously about more screen time for Meredith and better screen lines. My heart is with her, it must be a hard time for her. After all she did, and still no recognition, with all the shows popularity ELLEN MUST BE REWARDED. Or Grey's will loose her I think. They can't afford that.

I am very happy that T.R., Katherine, Sandra, and Chandra all received nods. They completely deserve them. I am very disappointed that Shonda did not. Some may argue that Season 3 was dark, but I have found all three seasons to have been magnificient, due to the stellar acting and the character based writing.

Very Sad Ellen Pompeo was snubbed. She deinfately deserved a nomination. This Lady deserves good recognition for her wonderful work on grey's Anatomy. Happy for all the other nomination, except maybe T.R. I didn't think it was strong enough. The nominations are weird this year. lots of snubs here and there.

All the actors are great on the show. It is the writers that need to get there acts together. I love this show but was very disappionted over and over again last season. I hope Shonda puts alittle more humor back in to season 4. I thought this show was so good that it would be on for many years but if they keep writing the way they did in season 3 I'm not sure the show will last.

I don't quite get the people who say TR's acting was not strong enough. He made me laugh, cry, want to hug George one minute and slap him the next. Maybe he is too subtle for some people? I think of all the actors who got nominated, he deserved it the most. They all did, but he is consistently exceptional and on top of his game in every scene he has.

TR Knight was phenomenal this season (as he has always been)-- the entire story arc about his dad's death, including the scene with the chief and bailey, about his father not knowing any better was absolutely brilliant. Watching reruns, I always laugh at him as he hits his head when he learns Callie has money and she uses the money he gives her to tip housekeeping. TR Knight makes exquisite choices as does Ellen Pompeo.

I love her monologue at the dinner table with her father and Susan, talking about the picture of her father and the sled and the big tree and the ugly yellow coat. Her delivery is genius as she haltingly reminds her father that it is Meredith in the picture and not Molly as he believes. Let's not blame the actors for the lack of material. Ellen deserves not only to be nominated, but to win and I adore the nominees.
