The scene in the finale where Cristina, having returned to the apartment and seen how Burke has left, is sobbing about being free and Meredith is cutting her out of her wedding dress? Sandra Oh deserves to win based on that scene alone.

I think Ellen truly deserves a nomination. In particular for the episode when her mother is in the hospital and lucid. Her acting was excellent, there was no whiny Meredith but an inspired young. Ellen's character has had such a challenging year again and her performance has been so sure.

Shonda should be blamed for ellen not getting that nomination. After all she made her looked sad and missirable all year round.

I too blame the writers for Ellen and Patrick not getting the nod. Such bad writing for Season 3. I like Sandra, Katherine, and Chandra. But I think all will cancel each other out for the award. I hope Kate Burton wins, otherwise I don't think Season 3 should be awarded anything (nor anyone) for such flip flop nonsense and awful writing.

The reason EP & PD didn't get nominated is b/c the show (Shonda) didn't give them anything to do most of the season. They had no chance to show any range of emotion; at least not beyond the ability to cry on cue. Don't think TR deserves anything extraordinary, but hats off to SO & CW. They certainly deserve it. KH is pretty bland...but maybe that's just how the character's written. She just gets on my nerves...!

Notice how none of the writers were nominated? Not a surprise in the slightest. The reason Ellen Pompeo who acted so wonderfully last season was not nominated was because the writers gave up on both her and Patrick Dempsey's characters as the season went on. I blame the writers for so much of what has happened to Grey's. And I strongly believe though Knight's performance was steady as always, it certainly was not Emmy worthy and would not have happened had he not gotten some sympathy for going public with his fight with Isaiah. Emmy voters love that sort of stuff. Doesn't make him a standout in the season though. Let's just hope that BIG team of writers learn from this and strive to bring the show back to it's greatness.

Careful there Milky, you are showing your true homophobic colours. Well, I think TR totally deserved his performance. Not only for his whole season, but for his work in the two episodes where his dad died. When he yelled He didn't know any better, it send shivers down my spine. And I was watching with a group of about 30 people and we all were amazed by how real his grief and pain felt. Anyhow, many people disagree about TR getting a pity vote. There is a vote on who should win the supporting actor Emmy and TR is winning by a LARGE majority, he has twice the votes of his closest competitor. Given that you can only vote once, that says a lot. Find it sad that there is so much homophobia in the 21st century. As for Ellen, she had one great scene, and I don't think she is that good an actress. I wouldn't say she sucks like a lot of people do, but she is average at best. And patrick? Good-looking guybut good actor? Nah

Yay! GA got 10 nomination but shoot, KH,SO & CW has to compete each other! but I'm glad their amazing work has been acknowledge by the Emmy that said alot. I want these 3 win if possible but anyone of them win I'll still be thrill and happy for all the 3 of these amazing actress that I enjoy watching every week. I'm sorry about Ellen Pompeo but I guess I'm not suprised she didn't get the nomination. I blamed it on her lack of emotion or facial expression , it's all in the eye, the eye is the window to your soul, so it hard to see her convey those emotional feeling Mere supposed to be feeling with her having to grow-up with the kind of mother she had, when Meredith was happy or sad or hurt I just don't get that convincing feeling from her most of the time. She always had that same perplex look most of the time that JMO. I'm suprised Justin Chamber didn't even get mention, his portrayal as Alex Karev which I find was as good as TR Knight, and JC also had wide acting range.

I love Justin, but I think the answer lies in scene submissions. TR submitted the wonderful clips of George's father's death. Those were amazing. Justin, unfortunately, had very rpecious to do all year, so not sure what he could have submitted that would have woved the Emmy voters. Same with patrick, he had precious to do this year except for being McDreamy as always.
