No More O'Mizzie on Upcoming Season of 'Grey's Anatomy'?

In the season finale of Grey’s Anatomy, viewers watched as medical intern Dr. Isobel “Izzie” (Katherine Heigl) finally came clean about her true feelings for her best friend and colleague, Dr. George O’Malley (T.R. Knight). The revelation came some time after the two characters ended up sleeping together in a drunken stupor. However, a big question mark was left in the air as the episode ended with George reacting strangely to Izzie’s confession.

Since the writers of the show had been building up Izzie and George’s relationship throughout the third season, it did not come as a big surprise when the pair finally reached a deeper level of intimacy. However, this is not to say that that all of the show's viewers have reacted positively to what has transpired between the two characters. According to the TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello, the new relationship did not fare well during a recently conducted focus group session.

I heard the panel is heavily biased. They better not get rid of George and Izzie because of one focus group -- they're the reason I watch.

Izzie and George have never been right, it is just wrong to not complete the grieving processes of Izzie and denny. It has taken three seasons to move Der/ Mer this far, you can't dump Izzie and George together this quick.Besides I like Callie with George, can't wait to see the reception Her parents throw.

Oh please let this be the end of George and Izzie. The panel was run by the network themselves, so it was not heavily biased. I like Callie with George too, so I am hoping that this bodes well for them after the whole adultery thing comes to light. Besides, why should Izzie get "rewarded" for her absoluely heinous mean girl behavior. Nope. It's time for Izzie to want a man and realize that he doesn't want her back.

I hope it's the end of George and Izzie. They work best as friends. I like Callie. More importantly, lets have some ESTABLISHED RELATIONSHIPS this season! Like Mer/Der.

TR and Katherine have NO sexual chemistry what so ever..when I see them on scene together I see best friends. I was so bummed when they took that route with them "falling in love" ICK!!

And as for the interns, Yes I understand you need new ones but not Mer sister. Who I really hope they do not have sleep with Derek because if they do I will stop watching.

I love George and Izzie together. Callie and George are not a good match at all!! I just hope next season is not so sad. Season 1 and 2 were mutch better. I can't wait to see what happens everyone next season.

That panel was biased. It was spammed by people from TWOp who gave each other the right answers to qualify. None of the George and Izzie fans I know, and I know a lot, even knew about this panel. And it was about 200 people.

George and Izzie have more fans than that just on one board (George and Izzie's LJ) than the whole participants of the panel. They have 386 fans on the LJ community, which is more than any couple community on Grey, even MerDer.

And the petition to save them already has 313 signatures in a week.

I don't buy that 95% of people hate them. I know a lot of people offline who watch the show and they all ADORE George and Izzie and watch for them.
