Isaiah Washington has not had a good year and he can't stop talking about it.  Ever since the man was fired from the his ABC drama Grey's Anatomy, Washington has given the media his two cents on every angle of his termination.  In an interview posted yesterday on Newsweek.com, Washington went the furthest he's gone thus far, accusing ABC of racism.

Washington was fired for an incident during filming on Grey's Anatomy late last year in which he got into a heated verbal exchange with co-star Patrick Dempsey.  In the midst of the fight, Washington referred to another actor (T.R. Knight) using a homophobic slur.  This caused Knight to come out of the closet.  Washington has, at times, been apologetic, but has also been standoff-ish and defensive, depending upon the day.  Here is what he told Newsweek:

Isaia Washington is a brilliant actor. Sure his comments were out of line, but doesn't everyone from time to time make stupid mistakes. The bottom line is that if Jack Nickolson or Al Pachino made a comment like that to another actor working with them it would be considered funny and no big deal. Let the man keep his job.

Funny how the guy wants to blame everybody but HIMSELF for HIS mistakes. Of course he is going to pull out the race card. He will do anything to make it seem like he was the victim. Too bad none of his castmates are willing to stick up for him which goes to show what kind of person he really is.

Man!!
he shouldn't be saying ALL of this "it was racist" junk, when really he is the one that pretty much tore apart the show because of the whole incident and its just as bad as being "racist" then calling someone what he did. i think he deserves it. he isn't that "brilliant" of an actor anyways.

I am very sorry that Disney did not review Isaih Washington's contract. You were one of the people I enjoyed so much on Grey's Anatomy. You will be missed. Maybe this other actor wanted to gain more recognition and used this opportunity to play up to the public on being gay and trying to make you look bad.

I wish you much success in the future and God Bless you,

He seriously needs to get over himself. He wants to put the blame of the fight on Patrick and his use of the homophobic slur on TR. He needs to grow up and take responsiblity for his mistakes. You can't pull out the race card buddy when the cast/crew is filled with people of different races. You were fired for a good reason so its time to face the facts and shut the hell up.
