Depressing and boring. When events outside the show (Isaiahgate) are reasons for the summer's biggest cliffhangers, you know the show has gone down the drain...

The phrase "jump the shark" comes to mind. I loved the first two seasons of Grey's, but come on! The show really took a leap when they did the ridiculous Meridith in pseudo afterlife thing. Now none of the characters are happy, the witty banter has all but dissipated, and laughs are few and far between. The show has lost its charm, and that is what made it worth watching. I will stick around for the first few episodes of season four, but my loyalty is waining.

WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU PEOPLE?? the quality of the show was INCREDIBLE. especially based on this season. certain things have to happen when a writer writes something, its called TRADGEDY. when peoples choices lead them to their fate, and the audience is left with pity for them. its how great story lines are developed and thats what I expect next season! If you want it to be all warm and sunshines go watch Scrubs, but this is a DRAMA, thats right, Grey's Anatomy is a DRAMA. If you cant take the heat, get out of the kitchen - because as a previous commenter said, its not all rainbow and sunshines. I know this hasnt added up to previous seasons, but just wait till next season. You seem to be so caught up in this show, and if you are truly this deeply affected by what happens to the characters surely you have to admit your left on the edge of your seat for next season. If not, then stop watching. The show doesnt need YOU to be great, its got that all on its own.

I love or did love Grey's Anatomy. If this was the way to get a fresh start for the next season, why didn't you have another bomb episode then you could have killed and maimed at will without dragging the viewers through the slow and agonizing death of EACH character! I've had it with this show, thanks for the memories.

It's not depressing; it's poor quality. Callie shouldn't even be a candidate chief resident, much less beat out bailey. Meredith wouldn't let something so stupid (Burketina's wedding) determine her future with Derek. The dumb thing is, we had to read the PODCAST to figure out what happened in the show. That's poor quality.

And another thing, HOW does Dr. Bailey go from being the chief "in waiting", little Napoleon, to a whiny "woe is me" doctor? Jumped the shark, these writers jumped the entire shark tank!

Yep, that about sums it up for me: depressing. Why couldn't one main character have ended the episode happy? Just one?!?! I feel really short-changed by the entire season. I thought Meredith having the NDE would open up her to finally healing and leaving some of the dark and twistiness behind. Even when Susan died and she got slapped, I was still hoping for her and Derek to have an honest to God real conversation where there was some hope for them. We waited an entire season and a half for them to get together, and this is what we get?!?! GA had a real opportunity with the season finale to engender some hope into the lives of the characters. Instead, they decided to burn it down. Well, the only thing they've accomplished is burned and desire on my part to continue watching. I'm going to hand around for the first couple of episodes in S4, but if something doesn't change, I'm outta there. There's only so much depressing, hope-killing tv I can take before I turn the channel.

The Grey's I used to love no longer exists! The season finale was awful, a huge disappointment.....it was a waste of my time to even watch it. I wish I hadn't. Shonda you have ruined this show.....Season 3 was a horrible nightmare. Depressing, depressing... MerDer have been destroyed and they were the reason I got hooked on Grey's in the first place. Shonda you promised us a good year with Mer/Der and it was horrible. People in love, even those with issues do not have relationships like what you turned MerDer into. Shonda you told us many times you did not believe in breaking MerDer up over and over again and guess what you have! I feel lied to and betrayed by you Shonda and the other writers. Grey's has become an insult to our intelligence. I am angry and sad that Grey's is no longer a show I want to watch. Grey's is now a sinking ship and all because you, Shonda think we the fans will tolerate all the crap of season 3...(and believe me it was crap) and keep watching.

Grey's is now a sinking ship and all because you, Shonda think we the fans will tolerate all the crap of season 3...(and believe me it was crap) and keep watching. There are many angry fans out here, many of whom will never watch Grey's again, and, Shonda you have only yourself to blame. It's sad that you have to write blogs and do podcasts (which by the way sound like teenage girls) to explain to us what happened in the episode we just watched. This isn't Shakespeare you are writing, we should be able to understand what these episodes are about without you explaining them to us. Shonda, you obviously don't care about the fans, what we think or want or you would not have ruined this show. Well, the ratings will eventually show that you have driven away the fans that helped make you and Grey's successful. I hope someone at ABC is listening to the backlash from the critics and fans alike. You asked us to stay with you for Season 4, well I for one am not. You betrayed us.
