More Barriers for Meredith and Derek?

The departure of Dr. Addison Forbes Montgomery, played by Kate Walsh, from Grey’s Anatomy for the spin off series, Private Practice, has certainly left viewers with mixed feelings but has given Derek and Meredith fans some level of comfort in knowing that the “McHot,” of Seattle Grace Hospital will soon be out of the picture. Although Addison’s exit sounds reassuring, that doesn’t mean that Meredith’s relationship with Derek is out of harm's way.

Enter Chyler Leigh, another possible troublemaker for the Derek-Meredith love affair. According to E! Online, Leigh, who plays the woman in the bar in the previews for this week, has just been offered a role in a multiple-episode arc for next season. Though it hasn’t been confirmed many entertainment sources have speculated that her participation on the series spells trouble.

Why can't they let Derek and Meredith be happy for awhile. It makes me not want to watch.

the chick in the bar...thats' meradith's half sister lexie grey,who will show up next season as an intern at sgh she is also out to hurt mer

My guess is that the girl in the bar is Mer's half-sister, which would explain a multiple episode arc next season. But I concur with both of the abive comments - why can't they just let mer-der be happy?!

Remember when he told Mer, he "chose wrong" and he'd loved her forever?? Well, I want to believe in him, and him choosing wrong, again, is not something I want to watch. Tonight's show was truly disappointing

I agree with all of you guys,why cant the writers just keep mer and der happy together.Getting tired of watching them being kept apart.Getting soooo disappointed with this series,might not even want to watch next season if they keep this up.

they cant just keep adding in new things to get in the way of meredith and derek. that just completely ruins the plot, and is like a sad cycle of breakups and get toegethers and at some point in time nobodys gonna wanna watch

They are just making up reasons for Mer and Der not to be together! And I dont understand why.

I agree! They should just leave them alone for a while. I mean like every episode they have a new reason for them to be made at each other!
