So, what's the best way to climb out of the abyss of negative media coverage? Baby steps. It was recently announced that Washington will be the only member of the Grey's Anatomy cast to not submit himself for Emmy consideration. This is the sort of selfless gesture that Washington needs to start winning back fans. However, is it really a show of good faith, or is it an empty gesture? To read the rest, click here. |

| That is right what do you know. You like the rest of us just speculate and frankly you just write was is essentially your opinion. IMHO...your writing won't garner you any writing accolades either even though I do not know what parameters any writing prizes requires. What I do know is that Isaiah Washington is much more superior actor than you are a writer...how do I now this...he has thousands of us who appreciate his portrayal of Preston Burke on a show called Grey's Anatomy that counts for something or else he would not still be employed. I don't even know your name. So before you start casting disparaging remarks about another human being's ability to do his job, you should take a look at your own abilities as a reporter. By the way, anyway you look at it, Isaiah Washington never shouted a homophobic slur at TR Knight, I believe it was IW's use of the "f" word that put him on the hot seat...get your facts right isn't that the first rule of thumb for writers/reporters. |

| I couldn't agree more with the above Canadian's notations. An Emmy is not about a personal feelings about a sector of people. It's about his performance as an actor. Mr. Washington not only contributes a huge advantage as a cast member, but does and over and above assistance to the unfortunate. You shoud really take a look at this personal website for PA's at Coalhouse Productions. It's funny how someone can contribute positively in other sectors and make one mistake and everything else positive is squashed. Everyone makes mistakes! and to say he is not worthy of a emmy is ludicrous and saddens me that he would bow out for that incidence. Everyone needs to get down off the cross because someone else needs the wood. Mel Gibson was still nominated after countless acts. Why shouldn't Mr. Washington be allowed the same courtesy? |
