'Kate earned it. She came in for four episodes and just about stole the show away from all the other actors - who are all good - just not as good as her. Her reaction shots alone are better than anyone else delivering dialogue.'
Hit the nail on the head there!

Kate's the only reason to watch Greys I'd like to see her have her own series if it's a success. Then I can give up watching Greys and switch over because Meredith annoys the hell out of me!

Spinoffs rarely work-I too would like to see Kate remain on the show. Izze leaving would be a big mistake.

I believe Katherine Heigl is one of the two (the other is TR Knight) strongest actors on the show. And, they should be the highest paid actors. However, I agree with Judy (Miami), pay all of the actors the same, like Friends. I would probably stop watching the show if Izzie is gone. I won't miss Kate Walsh and I wish she would take Isaiah Washington with her. His comments to TR on the set were unforgiveable. I fast forward through his scenes now.

NOOOOO!!!! a spin-off would be a horrible idea! especially since the show is at its peak.

plus.. i love addison on the show! she's part of the GA chemistry and appeal in the show.

w/o her,it would be different.

A few people believe that the actors should all receive the same pay. I definitely disagree. I know Katherine has become more important in the series, but compared to say Ellen who does narration as well, she does not deserve the same pay as her. That would be ridiculous.

As well, the spin-off seems sort of sketchy. I hope it doesnt ruin things for Greys 1.0.

i agree with bea. the spin-off is a bad idea because i like addison in greys anatomy.- she´s a great part of the show

Heigl is the star of the show without doubt in my eyes. If Knocked Up is a huge success next month as has been widely predicted it will only elevate her status. She is a wonderful actress and deserves the greatest success. If ABC won't pay her what she is worth, it seems given the movie roles she is getting the film companies will. Dont see any of the other cast getting offered anything. Enough said.
