ohhh myyyyy godddd! they CANNOT kill mer off. if they kill mer off i will NEVVVVVVVER EVERRRR watch a show on ABC again as long as i live. meredith and derek make the show what it is. plusss if they kill meredith then it wouldnt be greys anatomy...it'd just be like...anatomy and that doesnt work.

The show is named after the popular anatomy book, "Grey's Anatomy" not after meredith. BUt it would still be really stupid if they let her die. and what was up with izzies speech at the end?!!

Actually, the book is GrAy's Anatomy, so by changing it to Grey's, she is the title character. They better not kill her off.

Okay, the preview for next week Mer is having a near death experience. I am sure they will not write her off. I'm betting the next episode will be more of the near-death experince and Denny will be in it.

if they actually let her die, their ratings are going to plummet. how ridiculus would it be to kill of the main character who basically is the only thing people watch the show for.

I don't want meredith to die BUT she was looking pretty dead there on the table at the end of tonight's episode! She was in the water FOREVER and it would be sooooooo unrealistic for her to live after being in freezing cold water that long and flat lining that long. If they aren't killing her off then they went a little too far with the whole "near death" experience. Even if she were to wake up, she'd be brain dead after being down that long. Oh and how unrealistic is it for Derek to dive into the same freezing cold water and walk out with Meredith in his arms?? Hello people! If he could jump in and get her without suffering from hypothermia, then why couldn't she get out on her own?? It has to be Meredith who dies. It's the only thing that makes sense and would not take away from the quality of the show. But it may just end up being her mother that dies b/c after all, it is Hollywood and anything is possible; even coming back from the dead!!

maybe since patrick and his wife just had twins he is the one who will be killed off so he can spend more time with his family. he thinks mer is dead so he kills himself and then she comes back?

Well, idk.. i have mixed feelings about who will die next. You saw Derek break down, he could commit suicide. Hypothermia could easily kill Meredith. Ellis could die in surgery. Someone could have a heart attack or get into a car accident. Anything could happen at this point..
