Possibly the biggest gossip story to come out of the Golden Globes was Grey's Anatomy star Isaiah Washington's denial of ever calling co-star T.R. Knight a "faggot". The initial story, that surfaced last year, goes like this: Isaiah Washington, in the midst of an on-set argument with Patrick Dempsey, called T.R. Knight a "faggot", using the term in a derogatory manner. The subsequent fallout from the incident basically forced Knight publicly out of the closet, forcing him to do so not on his own terms.

Washington has had various on-set incidents in his career. This is probably the reason he isn't more famous; he's probably a good enough actor to have become an A-lister. The Golden Globes denial of the incident by Washington spurned some almost immediate backlash from his other cast members, especially Katherine Heigl, who seemed especially angry that he would deny such a heavily publicized incident.

As an African-American, I'm ashamed. And I hate to say it, but I think he would be an "Uncle Tom" African-American who I don't want any of my kids to be around. I'm ashamed.

how about t.r calling him a 'NIGGER',see how IsaiaH feels, and then I can assure you every black person along with that preacher from New York and Jesse "whats" his name would be in an uproar over the term NIGGER,I would like to see the black community do something and say something about this not only when someone calls a black a NIGGER

The general public who are FANS and love Grey's are not supporters of the latest actions of 'BURKE' regarding his unnecessary comments regarding a fellow cast member.
The popular TV program, FRIENDS, always portrayed a cohesive group of actors which was a part of the success of the program.

Grey's Atonomy should follow in that popular show...... get rid of the "bad apples" before the whole basket is rotted.

you can find many actors able to play the part of a egotistical, bastard surgeon without actually being on off-screen... fire the scum-bag!

It's hard to believe that Isaiah Washington could have said something so demeaning about T.R. Knight considering how good of friends thier charactors are on the show, but I guess that's what acting is. Whether or not Isaiah gets fired should have to do with how T.R. Knight feels about it. No one should have to work in a disrepectful environment. If T.R. and Isaiah can bury the hatchet I don't see why the rest of us can't. Both actors are a major asset to the success of the show and if they are comfortable working together then great, if not then hopefully Isaiah will learn from this experience and grow from it because he's a talented actor who has the potential to go far.

saw the golden globe press room video...find it odd that when Rhimes got asked the question, I could hear Mr. Knight say "what fight?"...next thing I see is Mr. Washington take the mic and say what he shouldn't have said. at any rate - Mr. Knight - why would you deny a fight, and then go on Ellen and confirm it? Why didn't you do it on Oprah? As a matter fact, any member of GA who has spoken about this seems to be bipolar or something because the story keeps changing.
It's nothing more than a publicity stunt because the original incident was right before Nov. sweeps, and now this thing is conveniently coming up before Feb. sweeps. The powers that be really want you to watch this show.

I'm very disappointed that they keep letting this man get away with this. If not fired, at least cut his salary. I watch Grey's every week, but may stop soon.
It's not like he's that popular a character. When he's on, I go for a snack or rest room break. Can't stand him.
