Tonight I was reminded of why I like Thursdays. You always have the inclination to sepearate two wildly different shows like The Office and Grey's Anatomy, but after experiencing another amazing Thursday of television I'm feeling the need to group them together. The feelings they each evoked in me were so very different that they brought me to opposite ends of the sensory spectrum. But in a span of one hour and thirty minutes I laughed and then cried so much that my nose got stuffed up.

After plunging head-first into the DVDs for Seasons One and Two this past summer, Grey's Anatomy won me over. But I have to admit to a lot of disappointment in the first few episodes of Season Three. I was afraid that they'd traded in their story lines filled with human emotion for hook ups and relationship drama. Tonight's episode won me over all over again. I was pulled into George's family as they huddled together, praying for a medical miracle. And I cried as I watched them decide to pull the plug on Mr. O'Malley as his body shut down from organ failure.
