I totally agree with Cat. He delivers his line with so much passion. I love his character. I would not continue to watch the show if he is fired.

People get angry and when they get angry, they say stuff including the word !@#!@. Maybe the word has implications but to me it just means someone is homosexual. I don't see what the big deal is. And even if it's a bad thing. CANT YOU JUST GET OVER IT IF HE REALLY SAID IT. IS IT THAT BIG OF A DEAL??

Seriously? I am visiting the site after month and a half and you people are still talking about the poor actor's "sin"??! Geez, let it go! There are WORSE THINGS in the world, like today's masacre at Virginia Tech. Now that's a real tragedy!!! Get over Isaiah Washington, who by the way is a wonderful actor.

To Josh: The book he was reading in bed was about Charles Parker, the jazz legend. When I saw what he was reading, I thought, "Wow, a man after my own heart." lol Apparently, they are giving us a hint that Burke is into classy music. They may have asked him, "If you were reading in bed, what would you be reading?"

To Anonymous 1: You are absolutely right. It is God's Design that the Races of Africa exist - like any other race of people. It's not something we would need to "help". It's not abnormal to be of African descent. It is not an aberration or an accident. "Being" Black is not the same as "being" gay. What's the same is the ignorant hateful treatment they receive from *other* people.
And no, I'm not a homophob. I bear no hatred in my heart for them. My best friends in school (we were like the 3 Muskateers) were gay. One of them - he was like my brother - died several years ago of AIDS. I still dream about him. The models I worked with and partied hard with were majority gay

This got cut off from my last post...

I've always admired Isaiah Washington as an actor. He's so intense and passionate! He's the kind of man I want to be with. (If here weren't married, I'd be after his butt! lol)
I AM, however, disappointed in his behavior. I don't believe they made up the fight with Dempsey over T.R. Knight. And I saw his unnecessary comment on the news myself. He did say what he said. He should know better.
No, they can't take him off the show. He's a huge part of it and the show would suffer without him. I think he should have stayed in the race for the Emmy. BTW - Homophobia and Racism are not the same thing. Isaiah hasn't done anything publicly "racist" that I know of.

OK, why are we even talking about them firing him? This is ridiculous... I'm pretty sure he is afforded the same freedom of speech that I am. Anyway, they can't take Burk off the show, I hope they realize how many viewers they would lose if they did so. (Such as myself) I love the Burk/Yang duo and if that were to disappear, the show would lose value for me, much they way it did when Derek went back to Addison. Why can't we judge actors upon their skills in acting and leave their personal lives and stupid celebrity happenings out of the equation?

Dr. Burke is F-I-N-E.
I'm an 80 year old actress/storyteller, and I'd like to play Burke's grandmother when he marries
Dr. Yang.
He'd have to hug his grandma, wouldn't he?!?
