Previously on Grey’s Anatomy, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek (Patrick Demspey) had break up sex, Norman Shales (Edward Herrmann) was the world’s oldest intern, Thatcher Grey chose Lexie (Chyler Leigh) over Meredith, Richard’s (James Pickens) niece knew she was dying, Alex (Justin Chambers) kissed Izzie (Katherine Heigl) but she pulled away, and George (T.R. Knight) told Callie (Sara Ramirez) that he slept with Izzie.Tonight’s Grey’s Anatomy picks up right after George’s confession to Callie. She simply says that she forgives him. He made a mistake, but they took vows, so she forgives him. click here to read the rest of the article: http://www.buddytv.com/articles/greys-anatomy/greys-anatomy-episode-44-the-h-12670.aspx

Shonda Rhimes has got to be kidding us with this Mer/Der storyline. While I love Mer/Der it is Rhimes who's madly in love with her "McDreamy" image and will do nothing to tarnish it. Has no probelm with making Meredith weak which is funy since Rhimes "supposedly" champions women, just so she can keep Derek all supremely great to the fans. Now with the addition of Lauren Stamile during sweeps as Derek's new love, it is more apparent than ever that Derek is a controlling jerk who never loved Meredith, but Shonda will find some way to talk you out of feeling that way about her dream character. What a shame. No wonder the ratings are slippping

I think you misread the whole "you don't forgive me" speech that George gave to Callie, IMO it was his way of make her realise that she just said that to make it go way, like nothing happened and ignore the problem (like she usually does), he's not having a change of heart, he pretty much stills wants a divorce, this was a good way to end the relationship and make Callie look like the bigger person..given her the power to end it herself, like she should have done a while ago, but that only now dawn her that he never really loved her. And also the whole "traitorous !@#!@" to Izzie, I don't get it, I mean they were never friends nor Callie ever trusted Izzie, so I'm just saying that's something you would 've said to a friend, and plus she didn't steal anything from her, George never really love her, but either way it was wrong, and hopefully this ep. settles the score with all the Gizzie haters out there.

I mostly agree with the above poster who said George didn't have a change of heart, but not for the same reason. Maybe it's because I don't like George, but I didn't see it as him being a good guy and giving Callie the power, but him being a spineless guy and trying to get her to reconsider so she'd ask for the divorce so he wouldn't have to. He doesn't want to stay married, but he's too weak to say that himself, so he needs to give Calie a reason to do his dirty work.

Yeah, upon thinking about it overnight, I think you're right. I don't think George had a change of heart. I think he should still man up and tell her that he wants a divorce, but I guess that conversation can wait until another day when Callie isn't quite so angry and humiliated.

What bothers me the most about the whole MerDer thing is that in season 2 Meredith gave her whole "pick me" speech to Derek. She was perfectly ready to commit to him then, so why the sudden "Daddy left me and I can't trust anyone" attitude that Meredith has? There seems to be to be some inconsistency here...

No one has mentioned the whole RIDICULOUS scene in the cafeteria! Izzie with her fists up ready to "get it on;" how inmature is that?!? I don't care if they weren't friends in the past, she deserved what Callie said to her. Go Callie!

How about never? izzie doesn't love Alex and never will and Shonda pretty much confirmed that in her latest podcast, why would anyone want Alex with a girl who was never in love him and treated him like a sex toy? Did you not hear her tell Alex she didn't sleep with him and slept with George because she LOVED george, meaning she didn't love him, that was the difference, Besides, Al;ex is in love with Ava, he just got his ego bruised that Izzie would fall so easily and deeply in love with george when he never got her to fall fior him, a blow to his huge huge ego George and Izzie belong together!

Izzy got what she deserved last night. And hopefully Callie realizes after her rant to that patients boyfriend how toxic her relationship with George is. Now maybe Callie can go back to being the strong Callie that I liked.
