Alex's past

I'm thinking Alex was raised in Foster Care and was moved from home to home and this is why he has the problems with getting to close to anyone. He always keeps his distance, its his protection mechanism kicking in. Maybe Ava can rescue him?

no, i think that he stayed with his family, but his dad beat him. in an episode (i cant remember the name) a kid and his mom got beat and alex really sympathized with him and said that he knew how it felt.
