I've never read the Gossip Girl books so I don't know how she is described, but I remember seeing Blake Lively in The Sisterhood movie and I thought she was captivatingly beautiful. She didn't look quite as fresh in Accepted, but nonetheless, I think based on the descriptions everyone is revealing the books say, she works!

I am so disappointed with how they set up the characters for the TV show for the hit novel series Gossip Girl. Serena is supposed to be a young, beautiful, angelic goddess but the character playing her is a lot older and looks like she has a split in the middle of her teeth. Most of the other characters are off the image too. What gives? The show hasn't even come out yet--I think--but I can already tell it's going to be bad. What gives?

i REALLY DON'T think taylor looks like serena buti do agree with u guys the blake is kinda pretty but she's no serena. serena's supposed to be perfect without even trying and i know thats impossible but they should have found someone better i mean this is their job they're getting paid for it!

the people who cast these characters did a horrible job
i pictured Serena to look more slutty and hotter then Blake

Sure Aly is kinda pretty, but i don't think she fits the character of Serena much. but i don't think Blake is much better, she looks to old.

I think Blake is a good actress for Serena. I thought Cheyenne Kimball was perfect. They are both beautiful and Serena wasn't supposed to be really slutty!

DOnt you guys get it taylor who plays jenny is to young to play serena she is only like 14 in real life and serena is suppose to be a senior so not only would some of the sense be innaproprite but she wouldnt look old enough...and second blake who is casted as serena is GORGOUS on film this just is not a good picture... i think there trying to change the book a little and make jenny more popular so they made her really pretty.

once again, i pictured someone that would see like on the street, long blonde hair..just like normal & tall and gorgeous, this girl looks like a soccer mom...but its better than half the other characters
