rory and logan were cute at first... but then he started pulling her down. she's too good for someone who wastes his life on partying and drinking. ...therefore, i agree with ziggy. hands down.

I think a Gilmore Girls movie would be a good move. Not sure how the trans-genre would jive but I think there are plenty of fans that would flock to see the film, if for nothing else to see the now infamous phrase "loose ends" tied up. They left a lot open which would be suggestive of an eighth season - Luke & Lorelai; Rory's career; Dean and/or Jess; the Marty storyline; Sookie's third baby; April; etc. etc. etc. So yeah - although I'd rather see an eighth-season wrap up (which would be a perfect amount of time to give 'closure' and a realistic denouement to the series), a film would suffice in its stead.

Put me with those who like (better love) Rory and Logan together. Their differences were what made them interesting in the first place and also brought an interesting spin in this thing about Lorelai's world versus Emily's world. Only a genius like Amy Palladino would create that, and that's what makes me her fan. And for Matt being against Rory and Logan together, it doesn't mean anything. Lauren Graham said several times that she prefered Lorelai with Chris, so if the cast opinions mattered, we all know that there wasn't be Lorelai and Luke... To sume it up: if there is a GG movie, ASP is write it and Logan is back, I'll watch for sure!

Ah, and Matt was cast before season 5 even started. Amy wanted the character Logan. She wrote Jess off in season 3 to create a spin off, but she had a chance to bring him back in season 4 and keep him in the show. But she didn't. As much some people doesn't like Logan, he was created and kept three seasons with the show by the Palladinos. And Amy hint in an interview that she would keep Logan in a season 8. So the guy was written to stay. DSR wrote him off, not Amy...

If anybody is meant to be with Rory it is Jess. You got it wrong saying Amy wrote him off the show. They always wanted Jess to come back but Milo didn't want to be on the show anymore. He had other offers he wanted to try and actually wanted his character killed off. Logan and Rory had 0 chemistry and were not meant to be together. Some of you are missing the point that he represented everything that Rory and her mother hated. That is why Lorelai didn't belong with Chris just like Rory didn't belong with Logan.

It was ASP idea to write Jess off in season 3 to set him up for a spin-off called "Windward Circle", that she wanted to produce. The spin-off wasn't picked up, so Milo was free for a while (he just did some guest starring and Bedford Diaries). After season 3, ASP only wanted to bring Jess back to be like Christopher: to stir problem in main couples. He was used to set up Rory/Dean in season 4 and, after that, to make Rory and Logan fight. And if you think Rory, like her mother, "hated" everything Logan represents, you missed episodes like Kill Me Now and other important ones from the very beginning of the show. You also missed Friday Night is All Right For Fighting, when Rory insisted to stay in the DAR. I think some people have a very different show in their heads that has nothing to do with what Amy wrote, and it only fits in what the new showrunner wrote, just like Rory and Logan break up.

This isn't a Logan and Rory discussion...it's about a Gilmore Girls movie. I'm all for it. I would like to see where our girls ended up.

Rory and Logan belong together about as much Chris and Lorelai. Funny how neither couple made it in the end!

Re: "Rory and Logan belong together about as much Chris and Lorelai. Funny how neither couple made it in the end!". With this logic, Rory doesn't belong with any of her exes. Well, at least she didn't scream "no" a hundred times when Logan asked her to move with him to SF... But I agree with Gena, this isn't a couple discussion, it's about a Gilmore Girls movie. I wonder why ASP isn't satisfied with how the show ended. And I think it would be nice if they shoot the movie in the Gilmore mansion, only with the family involved (Richard, Emily, Lorelai and Rory) and no one else.
