Also....the horrible writing to end this show proves once again that it's the writing that makes a show. The Palladino's absence from GG was never more glaring than in what we were given the last two weeks: Hack writers who don't even know the characters they are writing for. Absolutely horrible! And the most glaring error was what they did to Logan. AS-P created and loved Logan. The Rory/Logan relationship would never have ened like this under AS-Ps direction. What a sad ending to a tv icon. Just plain sad.

I think the finale was fantastic! I was surprised by one of the comments above that "Logan wasn't right for Rory, although it's a shame she turned him down"... I had to laugh. That's how divorces are created. If he's wrong for her, why would she accept his proposal? By the way, the breakup was Logan's doing. Rory wanted to continue the relationship and see where it went.

I see a few new shows growing out of this - A spa for Lorelei and her Mom to run; the new adventures of Lorelie and Luke; just Luke. Please don't bring Luke's sister and her husband back, or Lane's husband, Zak. I fast forwarded through all their scenes. The show has lacked the je ne sais quoi from the earlier seasons. The 2006-2007 season never seemed pulled together. The writers decided they would just spoon feed filler rather than the great quality that characterized the early shows. And I always loved Rory with Jess. There was another chapter there that the writers skirted around, but never delivered. I would have preferred to see Rory with a more mature Jess than the number of scenes we had to endure with a drunk or obnoxious Logan. It was a great show with rich characters. The party scene was lame - though the scene with Richard, Emily, & Lorelei was very nicely done. The party preparation and rain was more filler. It confirmed that the writers had lost their muse.

Everyone lamenting how bad the writing was after Amy Sherman-Palladino left might not remember that it was Amy who wrote the worst season they ever had when she had Rory steal a boat with Logan and then drop out of school and go live with her grandparents, all while completely ignoring Lorelai. That season made no sense and was insulting to everyone who had been avid viewers of the show. Amy Sherman-Palladino left the new writers with a mess that they had to clean up. I think they finally did it and got back to what was so lovable about this show...more Lorelai and Rory together.

I loved the finale! They did a great job, left me wanting more and writing my own ending for Luke and Lorelai. Perfect!

I am so sad that the show that marked my teen years with many memories of the show and the people I watched it with, is over.... FOREVER. I literally cried at almost every scene. I'll miss it so much! Finally Luke and Lorali are together. It was so fitting that they ended the show with the Gilmore Girls in the diner with Luke in the back round. WE'LL MISS YOU GILMORE GIRLS and stars hollow!!!! I sound pathetic buts its absolutey true!

The worst episodes by AS-P were 10 times better than what we got to end this series. None of this year's writers can compare to the Palladinos. I don't like it when they pick one charcter to dump on. What they did to Logan was wrong. He should have been in the finale. Rory's lack of sadness over the breakup was sick. It was obvious they just wanted out of the show. You don't go 3 years and then end a love affair in one show because of no job offers! That is just plain crazy. And it doesn't make Rory look good when all of her friends of the same age can handle jobs and husbands. Paris & Lane made rory look like a little kid at Chilton again. A disappointing end to this show. I'm sure a 20 year reunion would still find Rory sitting with her mom in Luke's Diner. That is sad and frightening. I don't like what they did to end this series at all.

We had a big thunderstorm here tonight and the ONLY channel that went out on my cable was the WB! No Gilmore Girls finale for me - how unfair is life! Thankfully I was able to read what I missed, but that just wasn't the same. I didn't get to day goodbye. Great show - so sorry to see it end.
