I am SO glad they did not go the cheesy route by putting Luke and Lorelai together at the end. Sure, they kissed, but they kept it simple. No big speeches, no proposals, it's open ended. They left it to the viewers. Maybe they're just great friends, ot maybe they will go on to get married. I'm also glad they didn't have Logan come back. That would have been terrible. Good on Rory for not rushing into things. That relationship too, is open ended. Personally? I hope she marries Jess a few years down the line.

I LOVED getting to see everyone in the town one last time. And it was raining! Such a great way to do it. The townfolk always reminded me of the people on Northern Exposure. Quirky, weird, but lovable. I'm also glad that Richard and Emily came down for the party. It looks like things turned out alright between them and Lorelai! I was really hoping that Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino would have a cameo somewhere in there, but I didn't see them anywhere.

All in

I think the ending was great. I cried all the way through it - but I think they did a good job of pulling things together and giving all the town characters screen time.

And the people who are screaming about Logan, please remember that this was a story about the Gilmore Girls - and their relationship with each other. They ended it the way they should have ended - but I am so sad to see it go.

It was an okay ending, but it was NOT at all good enough for the loyal fans who stuck by the show for 7 seasons. I admit Gilmore Girls was on its way out and an 8th season seemed ridiculous, but they should have planned ahead for the possibility of the show ending, and given the fans more. Lets say a 2 hour finale, or just one more episode. The final scene though, I will add was picture perfect and a blast back to season 1's pilot.

Absolutely terrible! The last two epiosodes are ina insult to this series and the fans. Rushed, contrived, badly written. And acted without any feeling by the two stars! Hello Rory! You can't even give credit to Logan for introducing you to Hugo? You know, the guy who just gave you your dream job! And have any of these townines in Stars Hollow ever left the city limits? Are they trapped in the town by some invisible barrier? They acted like no one had ever graduated from college before. What a total and insulting waste of a finale. And I must say that Rory's cold reaction to losing Logan is the most unbelievable and weird thing I've ever seen. She wasn't even sad. Just a little comment and the on to Lor & Luke! What a total joke. I'll remembet the show for the good times and try very hard to forget the two trash piles we got to end this show!

i only watched gilmore girls occasionally until last season. and to completely catch myself up, i went out one weekend and bought seasons 1-6. i fell in love with this show. i came to know all the characters. that's what a great show does. i came into season 7 with high hopes. and for the most part, the show was good. but without amy sherman-palladino, it just didn't have the same zing. but with zing or without, saying goodbye to such a wonderful show is really sad. the luke and lorelai ending was good though. it lets the fans create their own finale for them. and i'm glad rory got a job that really suits her. a cushy job at the times, even though it's what she wanted, just didn't seem right. anyways, to end all this rambling, thank you gilmore girls for giving seven seasons of wonderful stories and memories. best wishes to the cast members. i hope to see you all in new projects soon.

I LOVED this final show! It was, bar none, the best series finale of any show I've ever seen. They really hit every note. I cried through most of the show. It was wonderful to have Rory back in the house with Lorelai and left me wanting them to come back for another season. But they left on a high note, and I couldn't have asked for better. I truly love that they didn't take the cliche route for shows about women, and left Rory a single career girl. After all, she is too young to get married. By the way, Lorelai didn't sabotage Logan, which was oddly referenced by Sue above. She let Rory make her own decision about the marriage proposal. When Rory said to Lorelai, "You've given me everything I need," I fell into a puddle of tears. What more could a mom want to hear. And now I can go on thinking of Lorelai going to Friday night dinners with Richard and Emily, who acknowledged what a wonderful job she has done, and Luke doing whatever it takes so that he can "see Lorelai happ

I guess it ended where it needed to, but I'm still gonna miss this show. In it's way, it was kind of a new millenium version of The Andy Griffith Show, complete with quirky characters, some laughs and an underlying theme of love and understanding. I don't know if we'll be watching the reruns 40 years from now on TVLand, but I sure hope so! A fond farewell to the characters we've come to regard as friends, and to the talented folks who brought them to life, many thanks! If I say anymore I'll get, like, misty. -DrPhil
