I think that it takes quite an actor to pull off a character like Logan. Amy Sherman-Palladino says in the S5 DVD that "it takes a special actor to play a character as rich as Logan and not have EVERYONE hate him" How true since people find it easy to automatically hate the rich. But Matt Czuchry has accomplished the impossible and made Logan not only interesting but likeable too. I'm pulling for Logan all the way. I hope than an 8th season will showcase Logan's success. You are the man Logan. A great televsion character.

Thanks Cameron for your always right on target commentary about Gilmore Girls. You have this show, and especially Logan, down perfectly. I watch in awe each week as Matt Czuchry gives us this complex and wonderfeul Logan to enjoy. 3 years ago the playboy, but good hearted, Logan was a total joy to watch. Then the family, career, & relationship pressures in S6 were so fascinating. Now the mature and devoted to Rory Logan is being shown to perfection. Matt has taken us on this journey of discovery with Logan that I don't want to end. I love this gorgeous charmer. He was totally underused this year. If there is an S8 please give us more of this great guy. And Rory, if you are half as smart as you're supposed to be you will never let Logan go. Never! Logan is the best for Rory and the best boyfriend on all of television. Period.

The rumor mill is flaying lately with talk of the proposal/breakup, and I must say that the breakup would make things interesting. But only if there's going to be the 'condensed' eighth season. My guess is that something will happen, they'll break up, then he'll surprise her by proposing. As for the tlak of him not being in the season finale, he's also mentioned in conversation between Lorelai and Rory. I think that thep roducers are doin that on purpose to get people believing that they really are breaking up.

As far as Logan love goes, I'm filled with it!

Thanks Cameron. You are an oasis of good taste and reason in a barren desert of incompetent tv commentators! Excellent article. I love Logan completely. He is, without doubt, the most charming and endearing man on all of tv.Yes Rebecca, the rumors are flying about R/L and they are making me sick. All I can say is that there had better be an 8th season to correct what is planned for this year! No Logan in the season finale! So Rory will be all smiles at her big party after breaking Logan's heart? What pure insanity is this? I'm praying that they filmed an alternate ending just in case the show goes the 8th season. The b/u was filmed thinking this season was it. I still don't understand how they could end the show with an R/L split! Insane. Cameron, could you find out for us about an 8th season and whether Matt Czuchry will be there? If there is no Matt/Logan next year I'll be gone. They will have insulted me for the last time in this year's final two episodes. Please come back Matt!

Why Rory says no to his proposal in 7.21 I don't understand. She says she wants to be independent. But Logan tells her to do anything she wants and he will follow.
I hope to read a interview here with David Rosenthal when the show is over, explaing why he ends the Rory and Logan relationship in such a cruel way.

Until this episode, I absolutely detested Logan- but I think now that I've changed my mind. Logan really showed his true colors. The thing that ticks me off is the "okayish" relationship that Logan and Lorelai have. I miss the good old days when Dean was really a part of the family.

I loved how Logan and Lorelei bonded. Lorelei has seen many times over the last couple of years that Logan was a good guy. She just had those "motherly" worries. Actually, Logan has been caring and supportive of Rory since day one. Rory had to stop him from going after his dad when Mitchum crushed Rory in season 5. Logan saved the day for Luke by giving him a velatines day gift on Martha's Vineyard in season 6. And Logan is so supportive of Rory now this season. It was natural for Lorelei to see the real Logan. The Logan most of us have seen since he first appeared in 2004. Logan is without question the best for Rory and the best boyfriend on tv. He is awesome in every way. Why they are doing this cruel and insulting breakup is beyond me. It stinks. I can only hope this story will be corrected somehow in an 8th season. Just can't imagine GG without the sexy, smart and charming Logan. I love him all the way.

Cameron, could budddytv please find out for us about the 8th season? I need to know if Matt Czuchry and Logan will be back. If Matt isn't there I'm done with this show for good. I soo agree with you about Logan. I think he has been wonderful lately. I honedtly never thought he was that bad. I guess I've like him from the beginning. The way their story developed was so real, I mean come on, it's college! (wink wink) Anyways, he has been a model boyfriend since he asked Lorelai to help him with Rory, sure he's screwed up some in his personal life but not at all in his relationship with Rory. The episode we are talking about, gave me such warm and fuzzies. It pains me to think that Rory will refuse his proposal especially after that heart felt conversation she and Paris just shared. I mean, what was that foreshadowing????
Anyways, yeah, I love Logan and I think he is perfect for Rory. He pushes her and he supports her decisions no matter what they are and he loves her. What more can she be after? I mean really, how happy is she going to be in her career if she gave up the love of her life to get there? I have mixed feelings about what is going to happen

One other thing. The whole Lorelai bashing Logan, where did that come from? At last check (think Vineyard Valentine) she had no qualms about him. When did she suddenly go back to not liking him? Did I miss something?
Nevertheless, I am happy he was able to talk to her and they found some common grouund. They both love Rory and want the best for her, in the end that is what's important. She doesn't need her mom disliking her boyfriend right now.
