Will There Be an Eighth Season of Gilmore Girls? - Page 3

If the show goes to an eighth season, it should be a limited eighth season--11 or 12 episodes. With everything that's happened in the past few seasons, there isn't room for more conflict anymore. A handful of episodes next year to tie up everything, see how Lorelai and Luke build their life together and how Rory makes it in the working world, would be good. A full eighth season would require new conflicts to be introduced, and it's too late in the show for that. I'd prefer the show end with some dignity.

i am all for an 8th season, i love what gilmoregirls.org are doing with the great8mandate, giving us all the motivation to fight for what we belive in.
i feel that this season is getting better and better, DR was left in a very sticky situation and i think he is doing a great job of pulling the show out of the hole that ASP droped it into before she left. he is picking up the style that she usto wright in, after all she had a very unique way of wrighting for the characters and it must be quite hard to try to wright from someone elses head.
an 8th season would at least give us time to see the show end on a good note not a bad one and i am shure that the fans that helped make the show what it is atleast deserve that.

I am so for an 8th season due to the fact that we need to keep this show going to tie things up...it needs to finish well...we deserve that much as loyal fans. I can't leave the show yet.

While I do agree that Season 7 has not matched the quality that Seasons 1-5 brought us, in my opinion the show is still better than most of the things on TV today. I think David is doing a good job; he did not run away from the storyline that ASP left him, he took it head-on and tried to show us how these characters we love handled their situations. I understand that all good things come to an end, but I would hate to see them have to rush to the finish of the unresolved storlines when (if they had one more year) they could do so in a way that this remarkable show deserves.

I think that Luke and Lorelai belong togehter, and i agree with all of thoes people who say there isnt enough time in this season to fit everything. there are only what five eipisode left and they are going to save the whole luke and lorelai getting back together untill the very end of the season. they should have an 8th season and i think alexis should derfinitly be a regular on the show and not just a special guest star, BUT if alexis doesnt want to then what ever they should still bring it back for another season and see how the ratings go with out alexis. I WANT AN 8TH SEASON NO MATTER WHAT!?!?!?!?!

This is the best show on TV. All of my friends watch this show. I hope there is an 8th season. Lorelai and Rory have inspired me to be the best I can be as well as my friends. We all want to see Rory graduate , get a great job and see her making it on her own with a great apartment. Of course we all want Luke and Lorelai to be married. Oh and Paris don't leave her out of the series. We have all come to love her as well. This show is just to good to end.
