Lorna, that's a really selfish way to look at things. If you're not into the show anymore - sure, fine, okay. All you have to do is not watch. But don't take everyone else down with you. Season <8.

I have always been a huge fan of the Gilmore Girls. I don't know what I would do without them. I will be doing everything in my power (baring anything illegal) to ensure there is an 8th season. Go Great8Mandate!!!!

I think Gilmore Girls has gone on too long. It started losing creative direction two seasons ago, and has introduced too many plot twists and out of character developments to have a believable, organic storyline anymore. The best the show can do is end with a happy Luke and Lorelai as a couple and Rory's graduation. Creatively, there isn't much more the show can do after this. Besides Luke and Lorelai's "middle", I don't believe there's much more that fans really feel they need or want to see next year. The show should end on a good note and end there.

The show has run dry creatively. As good as the earlier seasons were, perhaps it is time for the show to end. Even the best shows can go on too long.

I love Gilmore Girls but as I am from the UK I have to buy the dvds to watch my fave episodes. Obviously I know about the whole Lorelai/Christopher marriage as I go on GG forums and I think that a season 8 is needed. To make up for all the mistakes of season 7, how can a romance (luke and lorelai) that has been building up on the show for 6 years just be finished with a walk into the sunset, it wouldnt be justice for their fans. I personally want to see a 'middle', I want to know what rory does with her life and wether Logan is involved, I want to see the Luke & Lorelai wedding and I want to see what happens between Lorelai and Rory once Rory has left Yale. I think the Great8Madate is a brilliant idea and just shows how many fans are dedicated.

I am hoping for another season of Gilmore Girls. It's one of the more beloved TV shows with the most loyal fans. Say YES to Season 8!!!

Gilmore Girls is an awesome show. I look forward to it every single week. I don't know that I have missed one since the first season. I don't watch much else on tv, I am way to busy...but I make time to watch the Girls every week. I would really like to see another season and if the series has to end, that it be given enough time to end right.

I watch Gilmore Girls each week with my three teenage daughters. As a single father, I have to admit that I am cohersed into watching more than my fair share of chick flicks, but the difference with Gilmore Girls is I actually enjoy it.

The characters are funny and I like that the main women characters on the show are also smart. The show has made for some great discussion with my girls about friends, boys, work, volunteering and college.

I will certainly miss that hour when we all get together, share some poptarts or Chinese food (yes, our food choices are swayed by the show too)and watch what crazy thing will happen next on the show.

One more year would be okay with me.
