Exclusive Interview: Matt Czuchry, of Gilmore Girls

Matt Czuchry, who plays Logan Huntzberger on Gilmore Girls, took time out of his busy schedule last week to sit down for an interview with us at BuddyTV. Matt has appeared on a number of TV shows in guest roles, but is best known as Logan, the wealthy boyfriend of Rory Gilmore on Gilmore Girls. We discussed Matt's start in the business, what goes on behind-the-scenes at Gilmore Girls, and the possibility of an 8th season for the show.

Can you talk a little about how you got started in acting?

You know, my junior year in college I was trying to figure out what I was gonna do with myself after graduating college and I just happened to be taking some acting classes at the time, not associated with the school, but just kind of on my own and I really feel in love with it. That’s kind of what started it as far as progressing forward. I majored in history and political science in college, so it wasn’t a focus from the beginning of college, it just kind of happened that way, where I was in school and loving acting classes and I said, “Let's try and pursue this in some fashion."

Thanks very much for this interview. Matt is a very talented actor and a smart guy. I am a big fan of Matt's and have never missed Gilmore Girls since he's been on the show. I am very impressed with his intelligence and maturity. I'm glad he has such a good relationship with Alexis. I am hoping that there will be an 8th season including Matt because I find Logan Huntzberger to ge a great tv character. Thanks Matt and thanks again for this interview.

If I wasn't already a huge fan of Matt, I would become one after this interview. He seems so humble, down to Earth and likable guy. I loved how he refered to Alexis Bledel and that he is a real fan of the show.

I'm not sure if I want or not an 8th season, but if there is one I hope Logan Huntzberger is back too. I love the complexity of this character and I think he brings interesting issues to the show.

Thanks buddytv for this interview. I hope you can interview Alexis Bledel in the future too!

Matt seems like a really cool guy. I liked how he thinks the show is about the "girls" and doesn't revolve around Logan. That is very humble and intelligent thinking. It's not all about "me". I hope there is a long and succesful career ahead for this credit to the acting profession. I know that we love his performance every week on Gilmore Girls. It's a remarkable and charming performance. Thanks Buudytv for this interview. Let's hope we get to see an 8th season of Matt and Logan on this great show.

Matt is a great actor, one can tell he's so smart and humble, he's played Logan magnificent, and has make the character his own, it's really how an amazing actor he is, I hope we get to see him more, He is very passionate about what he does, hopefully if we get another season of GG he'll be there cause he's definetely a big part of why I can't miss the show now.

I loved to her his thoughts on the show, the friendships he has cultivated, and about how this talented actor got his start. I must I love the complexity of this character and I think he brings interesting issues to the show--so much of this complexity is Matt's acting.
