Am I stating the obvious by saying "Firefly"?

If you are into dramas, I would definitely recommend Brothers & Sisters and for comedy I love Scrubs and 30 Rock!

Entourage 1-5Firefly
Brothers & Sisters
Scrubs 1-7
30 Rock 1-2

all the shows are good, worth to see.
In my personal eyes,I prefer sci-fi shows, just like:
Farscape 1-4
Battlestar Galactica 1-4
Stargate Atlantis 1-5
Star Trek collection
stargate SG-1 1-10
Babylon 5 1-5

Stargate Atlantis 1-5I do not know if you are familiar with this US Drama, For me personally, yes I have read the best sci-fi look of the drama category of the United States. Of course,it is different from The X Files. Tells the story of a group of knowledgeable and have the courage to explore beyond Earth earth mother planet ATLANTIS story, each has a distinctive role and characteristics of personality I like this series is also one of the reasons why. Its effects and so on have to do very well.

Season 5 of Stargate Atlantis was the last series. Stargate Universe will replace it in the near future with Actor Robert Carlyle taking the lead role.
Like all great series, eventually they run out of energy and have to make way for new concepts. I suspect that like Startrek generations, Stargate and Stargate Atlantis will go on forever simply because they represent brilliant story telling and push the boundaries of the imagination. Strangely these Sci-Fi series have a way of creating their own virtual world that draws you in.
There is some excellent TV shows at the moment (24 & Damages) that suck you into their virtual world and have the power to surprise and make you think.

What's on Obama's Must-See TV List?
President Barack Obama's TV diet includes sports, Hannah Montana and — above all else — Vincent Chase.
HBO's Entourage is Obama's favorite TV show, Politico reports. Lest we forget, that show's Ari Gold was inspired by real-life agent Ari Emanuel, the brother of Obama's chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel. So how much does Obama like Entourage? Well, he prioritized it over his campaign duties.
"[W]e would have these Sunday night calls at the same time as Entourage," press secretary Robert Gibbs said. "I remember one time I e-mailed him because the call was scheduled for the last 15 minutes of Entourage and I said, 'Just be late and we can just watch Entourage and still get on and do the call. And it worked. We got to see Entourage."
The commander-in-chief was also a fan of HBO's underappreciated and now-defunct The Wire. Last year, he named Omar, a gay drug dealer, as his favorite character because he's "fascinating."

Ratings: After a Faltering Finale, Will Life Go On?
Wednesday's ratings rundown:
8 pm/ET
Lie to Me topped the hour with an audience of 8.42 million total viewers, down 560K week-to-week. CBS' Old Christine and Gary Unmarried combined for second, both delivering 7.3 mil.
ABC's sitcoms, meanwhile, lagged behind a Law & Order repeat, with Scrubs managing 4.67 mil (down 335K) and Better Off Ted drawing 4.2 mil (down 500 thou). Top Model tallied 3.7 mil, dipping 250K.
9 pm
American Idol ruled with 22.43 million viewers, slipping 5 percent week-to-week. Criminal Minds followed with 13.25 mil, dropping 750 thou. Lost lost 12 percent of its last audience, hitting 8.3 mil.
NBC's Life wrapped up its sophomore run with an audience of 4.5 mil, plunging 19 percent. Will Life go on? Although it might seem unlikely, there is talk of struggling NBC picking up "mini" seasons of a few on-the-bubble series. Stay tuned.
10 pm
CSI: NY was No. 1 with 12.5 mil, followed by the premiere of ABC's The Unusuals, which copped 6.84 million viewers. As a benchmark of sorts, Life on Mars' first après-Lost outing grabbed 300K fewer heads than that.

CSI: Miami's David Caruso
David Caruso is used to catching criminals as Horatio Caine in CBS' CSI: Miami, but this time Caruso is the one under heat. Caruso's ex-girlfriend, Liza Marquez, has sued the actor on the grounds that he broke his promise to financially support her.
According to The Associated Press, Caruso is being sued for more than $1.2 million and a house that was promised to her by the star. Marquez's suit claims that Caruso asked her to quit her job and pass up other job opportunities because he would take care of her bills and needs, and was just a general all-around jerk.

If you have much spare time, star trek will be a good choice.
