| Wizards of Waverly Place is a live-action series which premiered on October 12, 2007 on Disney Channel. Created by Todd J. Greenwald, the show centers on three teenagers, who on the surface seem to lead typical lives but are actually wizards in training. Leading Wizards of Waverly Place are the Russo children, consisting of Alex Russo, her older brother Justin, and younger brother Max. Unknown to most people, they are young wizards in training, preparing for the ultimate test of their magical skills that will determine which one sibling gets to keep his or her powers.
