Cold Case: Just watched "Resolutions"

So I've started Cold Case from the beginning, I'm really liking it so far. But one thing bugged me so much about this episode, I just had to post.

The amount of times they mention the year 2000 being the New Century and the Millennium made me cringe to my very core, the year 2000 was simply that, the Year 2000. 2001 was the beginning of both the 3rd Millennium and the 21st Century. I hope the Cold Case writers did what they did in this episode just to show how stupid the majority were in 1999. If not, for the Cold Case writers to not know the facts in 2004 when this episode was released, astonishing.
