You would think on some cosmical, supernatural level with so many people wishing for Katie to get away, it will happen some day. In another board I'm a member off, I had "Free Katie" in my sig for a while.

I just watched the first ep of S3 and it's a great one. Jen getting made head cheerleader is so hilarious.
Jen: "I got the golden pon pons (no idea how the things are spelled) with the rhinestone encrusted handles."
Jack: "They didn't make you a cheerleader, did they?"
Jen: "No"
Jack:"good"
Jen: "They made me head cheerleader"

Dawson crashing his Dad's boat was also hilarious.

I just finished S3 ep2 and wouldn't you know it, Pacey likes classic Rock.

Pacey: "It's a 3 hour drive to Capeside so choose your station now."
Joey: "Alternative"
Pacey: "Classic Rock it is, then." (houserules, you know, driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cakehole. )

That makes me like him even more!

I honestly don't really get why Dawson didn't want to hook up with Joey. I mean I get that he didn't want their first time to be during a stripper party, but he could have told her it just wasn't the right time, or he could left with her and find a romantic spot. It feels to me that this just had to be in order to move the plot forward, as Andie being unfaithful had to be so that Pacey and Joey can happen. Don't get me wrong, I like that they get together, but the events making it possible kind of feel forced to me.

I'm sure the storyline I will like most this season is Jen being cheerleader queen and Jack being star jock.

I'm feeling entirely too lazy to hit the quote button but I do want to respond

@helps:

The grandfather had a few loving moments with Paikea, granted they were all before she tried to join the school, lol. But I agree with you on the cold part. He never showed her the same love she showed him and that was sad and wrong. And she was forced to be the mature one, to understand his pain and his reasons for being the way he was, and I think that was wrong as well. He should've been adult and loving enough to recognize that the things he was doing and saying hurt her. I watched that movie a few times when I first got it and then I stopped 'cause I seriously couldn't handle sitting through it again and again emotionally. But I may be due for a good cry - but then again I have tons of seriously emo, tear-jerker movies.

Aye, Jen and her relationships with men were horrible. I can soooo relate to her, lol. I think I would've loved a scene with her and the baby, a really loving moment where she was just happy. Not thinking about being sick, not thinking about anything bad, but just being happy. But in all honesty, I think a scene like that would've made her death a million times worse for me. I guess there's no win-win in that situation.

Lol, you should've heard me when the Dawson/Joey wedding scene came on. I screamed "WHAT? NO!" so loud that my kitten jumped up and ran to hide underneath the sofa. Poor, Tristan

@ Calena
Lol at the "Free Katie". I'm assuming before 10 years is up that he'll divorce her but I'd really like her to be the one to escape. Let the brainwashing wear off and let her open her eyes and see just how insane he is and how far from him she needs to be.

I agree with you on Dawson not wanting to hook up with Joey being kinda contrived but I actually bought into the Andie cheating on Pacey story line. She was pretty unstable and high-strung so I was willing to believe that at her lowest point in whatever psychiatric facility she was in, LMAO, that she was capable of doing something as foolish and impulsive as sleep with someone else. Plus she was pretty vulnerable at the time. I actually loved it because Pacey had to deal with real heartbreak for the first time ('cause old a** Tamara doesn't count in my book). And that set up the line from Jen to Joey that I so love: I'll let you in on a little secret about the so-called fearless: We're not as tough as you think we are. Pacey's heart is just as breakable as the next guy's... maybe even more so, considering it was already broken when you got there.
Plus if Pacey had still been dating Andie, he wouldn't have had as much time to "look after" Joey, as per Dawson's request

And on Dawson...in the whole series there is only one scene that I really loved with Dawson and Joey (and it's actually a moment where I managed to smile at Dawson and like him for a second - just a second). It was in the Self-Reliance episode. Joey is trying to study and she kicks Pacey out, even though he's trying to help her with Alexander. She ends up getting overwhelmed with her nephew and the B&B guests and screws up her test the next day. She goes to Dawson, telling him what happened, and he asks wasn't Pacey there with her to help. She admits to kicking him out and Dawson tells her that she should've let Pacey help with Alexander because he's actually really good with kids, especially since he's like a big kid (and he meant that in a good way). Then Dawson gives Joey an early Christmas gift...a black and white picture of her and Pacey cuddling. The picture is so beautiful and I cried when I saw it - so did Joey. And she tells him that she basically knows they're friends after all that's happened because he gave her that picture. Man, that scene was just so perfect. Gets tears out of me every time.

Aah,i love Jen and Jack in season 3...this scene was pretty hilarious......i guess you´ll watch soon my favorite scene where they lie down on grass together...

lol,i remember that, but i never think about it...yes,Pacey has even good taste in music....

what bothered me about this was why joey wanted to hook up with Dawson again....i understand that she forgave him,but still he hurt her few times and i couldnt get why she wanted to be with him again....i mean she break up with him when she wanted to find herself or what...then she break up with him because of father...and suddenly when she saw that he has another girl she wanted him again...and scene in the room it made me feel little like that Joey was little silly...but dont get me wrong....i guess i feel this way just because Dawson and Joey have still some problems during whole show and they never were able to love each other at the same time....they always feel differently and just one of them wanted to hook up.....

I have to rewatch whale rider, cause it was so sad and great at the same time and i dont remember it.....which another emo movie do you have?...

yes, that´s true...i thought that she wouldn´t have to die...lol...and that there would be happy end on the beach with Jack and Amy and she would live along.......but yes,if it would be on the beach and she would die then,it would be sad....

OMG Poor Tristan......Then why he use his sneaky eyes on you....he has hard times with you,lol...on the other side my bunny had hard times with me,too.....i like to scaring him......but dont worry....he´s pretty sneaky and smart and when he sees that i wanna just scare him and run at him,he just sit and wait until i´m at him, then just look up at me and dont run away,lol.....where is fun then....

Yes,about Andie and Pacey it didnt seem to me so forcing...i believed that Andie wanted someone who understood her in her situation better then anyone else...
With Dawson,it was strange when he wanted her almost whole two seasons...but more bothered me that Joey suddenly wanted him...i hated these situation...same when Joey was with Charlie and Dawson suddenly wanted to be with her...

Henry's "you're awesome" speech was fun, but he definitely should take some advice from Dean how to use the word awesome. t times in 3 sentences are just too much! Also Henry's infatuation with Jen was cute for 2 seconds, but then it gets a bit annoying, imo.

I can't remember girls, is Jack ever getting any? Does he even have an on-screen kiss? Does he get a boyfriend in the course of the show?

helps you were right, the lawn scenes were brilliant.

The Blair Witch ep is coming up, but I think I'm just gonna skip that one. I don't like Blair Witch, didn't like it in SPN, and I don't think there's anything important happening in that ep. What do you think girls, can I safely skip it?

Aye, the two scenes of Jack and Jen on the grass together are so wonderful. I love those, especially the one where she talks about why he's special to her.

And I also was confused as to why Joey wanted to be with Dawson again. I felt like she and him had established the fact that they were friends and capable of seeing each other date other people. I really don't like that after Pacey she hooked back up with Dawson. It didn't make sense. She'd even said to him that they were now the type of friends who could talk to each other about their relationships and advise each other to follow their hearts in their respective relationships so why mess that up by hooking up again? In addition to the fact that Dawson was horribly mean and disgusting to both her and Pacey, two people that were supposedly his best friends.

Ooh, total sidenote: As bad as it probably is to do, I actually enjoy scaring Tristan sometimes too. Like I'll make a sudden movement or scream out just to see his reaction...I'm so horrible. And you should see the look he gives me when I do it - he kinda freezes with his eyes real big and then cuts his eyes at me, lol. I really need to stop doing it, but it's too fun.

And maybe I should do a emo-movies post on LJ 'cause I really have a lot to list.

I agree with you, helps, on Andie. As much as I believe she loved Pacey, he couldn't truly relate to all she was going through whereas the guy she slept with could because he was just as emotionally and mentally unstable as her. Had she not have been sick and sent away, I don't see her cheating on him. But Dawson and Joey's things was totally forced. They were always wanting the other when they were already involved in relationships. And, outside of that, part of that forced feeling came from their lack of chemistry. When the show first started, I could see them as friends but I never felt like they had chemistry as a couple. But that's just me.

I found the poor writing in term's of Jack's relationships to be rather disappointing until the very end. His longest and most passionate on-screen kiss was with Jen, lol.

Skip the Blair Witch Ep, Calena, it was horrible. All you need to know from that one is Pacey and Jen decide to try to have a casual sex relationship. Oooh, you're getting close to the good stuff, Calena!! I'm excited for you!

Thx, that helps me. I remember I didn't like at all when I first saw it on TV a decade or so ago.

DC has way more quality than your average teen-soap. I give them credit that they established a gay character in the main cast at a time there wasn't a thought of Wii & Grace. But I would have very much liked it if they had decided to go "all the way" and show Jack in a long term relationship. I mean, ok, not in Capeside at High School, I get that, but in college there it would have been totally believeable for Jack to find someone he loved and could have a romantic relationship with.

I guess they figured "we called the show Dawson's Creek, so we have to keep coming up with storylines for him"

I'd agree that DC was better quality than my shows like the O.C. and OTH (which both tend to go way over-the-top with the storylines) but DC, for me, doesn't really come close to My So-Called Life and Party of Five, both of which had gay characters and wrote better stories for them as well as the entire main cast. I guess that's my biggest issue with DC - the Jen and Jack characters didn't ever get these really great storylines, almost like the writers didn't know what to do with them. And for Jack I do think that the writers were almost scared to show Jack in a serious, long term relationship with a man - like it's one thing to make him gay and show him hooking up but to show a really meaningful, emotional relationship might have been risky to them then (though I don't know why 'cause it was like 8 or 9 years ago).

Lol, that and James was a bit of a bastard in the way he argued with the writers, demanding more camera time and complaining about his dialogue and stories.

The site was so slow and I might have hit "submit reply" a few times, sorry.

I never saw an ep of "My so called Life" (not even sure what the german title might be) and only recall a few eps of PoF and they were rather confusing. That girl played by Neve Campbell was a bit crazy, wasn't she? I recall a guy named Bailey, I liked him. And I know Matthew Foy was in it, but I don't remember much about his character except he was the oldest and really handsome.

I only saw the first 3 seasons of OTH. I do like it, but sometimes they are really melodramatic.

He was? So actors can demand how their storyline goes? Or only if the show's named after their character?
