He is nearly 9 [in august] and yes, I was thinking that, It's not a movie theme, I wanted to watch and we have very similar tastes, he probably wouldn't watch it anyway! He is ok with an above average number of gory bits as my best friend has had a background in making movies and she has shown him a trick or two when it comes to stunts, special effects etc... so in that respect, he would cope with it or something like it, but I feel it has too many adult themes for him to understand at the moment, seriously, once he sees something like it, he starts to research the topic to death, he googles, he gets books out form the library, he drives his teacher mad with random questions until he gets it all... not to mention how he does my head in!!! The current situation in Zimbabwe at the moment is his current topic of learning, which I suppose is why he has come across the 'Blood Diamond' book in his school library, he was probably, knowing him looking through all the geography books in the Africa section etc...

I'm not that surprised that AJ doesn't like Smallville so much, I remember I didn't like it that much when I saw some eps on TV and AJ has proved time and time again to have very good taste, he likes Star Wars after all! Of course I have to give Smallville a re-try, as it has Jensen in it. But I think I'll still start with S4 and if I like that so much that I can imagine watching it even without the awesome Jensen in it I might start with S1.

TBH, it's is just your average run of the mill programme with fairly easy going themes overall, it's neither a great show or a really bad one, IMO! The characters overall in it do a great job and compared to that other preSuperman show, the Lois & Clark one, with that lass from DH... it comes out on top!
The whole AJ liking Star Wars thing, is totally down to his dad's DNA.... I admit... Not a single thread of DNA of mine in him re that subject

Dark Angel has nothing to do with Buffy and no David B. in it. Jessica Alba is playing a genetically enhanced soldier who broke out of "Manticore" which is the evil company that "produces" the genetically manipulated soldiers. It plays in a kind of post-apocalyptic Seattle, where people have a hard time to survive. After being reluctant at first Max (Jessica's character) joins the good fight against evil, corrupt government and companies and all types evil. Jensen plays Alec (he makes an appearance as Alec's twin brother Ben in S1) who is a genetically enhanced soldier, too. Max in S2 manages to take down Manticore and all the soldiers escape, and Alec even more reluctantly than Max was, helps in the fighting evil, too. There's one Alec centered episode and it's truly brilliant.
Dark Angel is funny, witty and has action in it. Give it a try.
I just looked it up and to my amazement Dark Angel came after DC for Jensen.

Now, this sounds really great! I will watch out for this show, TBH, I would be surprised if the Library have this one in stock in yet, as if I have not heard of it, neither will a group of middle aged librarians who on a whole are very christian based!!! They are only getting SPN in sometime in the next decade cause they know me so well!!! They may surprise though!!!

As for Jared on GiGi: The character itself is a wuss. Sorry to be harsh, he is nice and all, but the way Dean lets Rory walk all over him is painful to watch.

I didn't want to use that term, but I have to say I am very much in agreement with you.... Yep, so far, he is a bit of a wet blanket, although the ep where she fed him dinner, as she dressed up as a 50's housewife was quite funny... Do you not think though, that all first true loves are a bit like this? My first love was a pure wet blanket, in a lot of ways, we laugh about it now, We had such fun, he was a true gentleman, so is the character Dean, IMO... and that is not seen too often in this day and age!
By the way, talking of GiGi, do you remember my very first comment about this show , it went along the lines of .... ''Isn't that the show about the girls out in the Outback?'' Anyway, I did some research and I think the show I actually meant was ... 'Mc Leod's Daughters' Lol!! Not GiGi at all....

Anyway, mmmmms has just popped over now to catch up on a few GiGi eps... so I will check in a bit later!!!

Okay so I'm part way through season 6 and DUDE. I don't buy that some studio would let a PA finish their film. I just don't. Nor do I buy that a director would just happily hand over his creative works.

This show can be so annoying sometimes.

On the up side Pacey is STILL sexy as hell

Isn't season 6 Pacey great? I just loved everything about his story that season and he was so freakin' hot.

I Loved that Jack finally saw the evilness of the frat boys at the end of S5. However, I don't really like corporate Pacey.
Season 6 feels like an acceleration of the relationship dramas of previous season. Dawson-Joey, Pacey-Joey, the whole drama with both boys not drawn out over a season, but in a matter of 2 or 3 eps.

I have 5 eps to go and then I have finished the whole series, *phew*!

I'm kinda bummed they didn't let him have facial hair in other seasons - like at least season 5 and 6 'cause he looked so scrumptious with it. The only downside was his hair looked like it had too much product in it at times - like it was greasy or something.

I'm curious to see your reaction to one ep in regards to his facial hair though, lol.

I wouldn't think Heath would be into the soap teen dramas, lol. And DC is definitely soapy with the whole love triangle action happening. Hopefully you get a chance ot finish soon though 'cause I'm dying to talk to you about the ending. I'm trying to contain myself.

I did it, I just finished 6 seasons of Dawson's Creek. I won't write too much, so not to spoiler meimei, but 2 things I have to say:
1) I could really have done without the last 2 eps. I wouldn't have wanted an OC like ending, but there was no need for these 2 last eps, "Joey and the Capeside Redemption" would have been a sufficient ending.
2) Safe for his first movie, the one about Brooks and the work he did for Todd all Dawson ever did was putting his life on film. What does that say about Dawson as an artist? I mean I understand getting inspiration from your life for your art, but to the extent Dawson did it it's ridiculous.

....not sure what I think yet. I had an awful, tearfilled weekend that I am just not going to get into here or on LJ but it made watching the stuff with Jenn really hard. They weren't pulling any punches with that one. Especially that Jack and Jenn stuff. And I loved that Dougie really was gay after all this time of Pacey teasing him. Makes me wonder if he would have come out sooner had Pacey not teased him so much.

And Joey....Joey, Joey, Joey., She doesn't deserve Pacey. However since she seems to make Pacey super happy, I'll let it slide.

Now I fast forwarded most of the Joey/Dawson stuff, the Dawson stuff and when Dawson reams Pacey out for loosing his money because it broke my heart having to watch Pacey go there again, let me know if I missed anything! LOL.

And dude, Andy was HOT when she came back. She lost all that super dorkiness she had about her.
