| Shan's slave girl! ![]() | I was bugged by her snobbery regarding college too. I mean Wothington or bust?! Gimme a break. It was so dramatic with her, that if you didn't know better, you'd get the feeling that she was rejected by all other schools where she applied (which she didn't), and now this is the last one, and if she doesn't get in, it WILL be the end of the world.....so stupid. I can understand someone wanting to get in that one school you dream of, but every sane person will consider not being able to get in for what ever reason, and try to get into some other college with a similar program. But ok, it was Joey Potter - THE drama queen of all drama queens (she totally got that from hanging with Daw-I'm-the-one-in-pain-tend-to-me-son)

| Jared's S&M gal ![]() | Ok, so I am curious if Mei has finished the series and what she thinks. Joey was so a drama queen (but that's why her with Pacey made more sense - he helped balance that out and made her put things into perspective). It was so hard to relate to Joey a lot of the time. They wrote her to be like this poor girl with a dead mom and imprisoned father who has nothing but her dreams of getting out of Capeside. And you want to feel sorry for her but then she sort of looks down her nose at others and makes it seem like she's too good to wait on tables. You're waiting on tables, princess, not dancing on them. Get a grip. Then she acts like Worthington is her ONLY key out when it came off more that she felt she was too good for a community college or smaller, less expensive university. Plus, it kinda bugged me that she b*tched about not wanting to end up being a waitress and went off to her prestigious college and got a job at the bar as a what...a waitress. Lmao. Oh, Joey Potter. On another note: I've been rewatching eps because I was doing vids and I gotta say, I had such a strong reaction to this show the second time around. Dawson was THE worst friend to both Pacey and Joey, hands down. He treated Joey horribly, holding her captive in a friendship, yes...but he also treated Pacey as if he was a loser. Dawson never looked at Pacey as his equal, he always looked down on him...Pacey is too much of a loser to get Tamara, Pacey will only want sex from Joey, Pacey will only hold Joey back 'cause he's too stupid to get into college, Pacey is a screw up so it was expected he'd lose all his money. I mean, like seriously...this is the crap Dawson thought. It's infuriating 'cause Dawson was always acting as if Pacey wasn't really deserving of his friendship and that he was just being bestowed a temporary honor to be in the presence of the great Dawson Leery. What an a**, you know.

| I'm watching the spring break ep and I just don't get why they have to interrupt a perfectly entertaining ep with constant Dawson-Joey flashbacks. Why not have an ep without Dawson, seeing as he is not on spring break with them? (I know, I know, James probably would have thrown a tantrum if he hadn't been in it)

| I'm 10 eps into season 6. I do have to say, they definitely stocked up on eyecandy for the girls this season with Eddie, the mean professor and of course CJ. Seeing Jensen with long hair is strange and the character he plays it not very likeable, but the jawline and the voice is there and it'll have to do until SPN returns. Also strange is seeing that Jensen is actually tall compared to the DC cast, you can easily forget that seeing him next to Jared all the time. Oh, and I like Todd the mean director with the funny accent.

| Hello all I thought I'd venture over her... I've been wondering if Dawson's Creek is good enough as a show to watch from the very beginning! I recently got into Gilmore Girls from the very beginning at peoples advisement on here, so then, what's the main good things about Dawsons Creek, I should look out for? My local library, I believe has all the seasons on DVD, so I can borrow them from there!!!

| Well, DC is no SPN, so you won't hear me singing it's praises or find me bugging you to watch it. Frankly, DC can be quite boring at times. At other times it is really entertaining and it has some very likable characters with good lines like Jack, Jen and Pacey. Gilmore Girls is a ton funnier, though. The best season of DC is imo season 3 (if that's the one where Jen is cheerleading?) The recurring love story between Dawson and Joey gets old pretty soon and continues to annoy the viewers till the very end. (Although I'm sure in its time there were a ton of DaJo shippers out there). But you take no big risk lending it from your library (I'm totally impressed and envious at what your library carries), give it a try, but be aware it's a real teen show. P.S. How is all that Jared being called Dean on GG going for you?

| See I got that impression of it first time round when it were on TV's here! I was never that into teens shows when they were on, the Bev Hills 90..whatever didn't grab me either! I dunno why, just not my thing! For others, the shows are great! Our local library is one of four local libraries who each share a wide range of DVD's etc... you order them for about £2.80 per week! I believe that Dawson's Creek is down there on their shelves! They have recently added Smallville seasons to their collection as well! I love the whole Gilmore Girls show though, now that is punchy and funny! Although, I have pangs of fond memories of my very first boyfriend when I see Dean& Rory's love blossom! My first boyfriend, I went out with for nearly four years... we briefly got engaged and all... He was so romantic and did all that soppy stuff that made that time a magical one for me! He did a lot of things like catch me as I crawled out the back window legs first too!!! Dean & Rory's relationship reminds me very much of those days, and it brings tears to my eyes nearly every time!!! I was really deep in past thoughts, when Dean went and gave Rory that shelled out car that he was rebuilding for their three month anniversary... For our six months anniversary, My ex gave me an unstrung guitar and then helped me to put strings on it... we spent most of the night doing it.... It was so dusty... etc... It wasn't a great one, truthfully, I only used it when he was about, but he meant well all the same!!! My parents were absolutely heartbroken when we split up, they thought we were to last forever... Lol!!! I don't think that they have fully forgiven me since!!! He's still with his wife whom he met as a rebound after me, they have three beautiful children together and they are happy!!! Anyway, enough about me... back to Gilmore Girls... Great Show, mmmmms comes over a couple of times a week now with her youngest one, while all our kids are at school, to catch up on all the eps I have taped on Sky+! I watch Smallville with Jensen in it around the same time too! Not hard to see how either of these two guys are where they are now, they had it even back then... fate brought those two together... all worked out well in the end!!! Talking of Mr. A What series of DC is he in then? Does he do anything to improve the show at all, then IYO!?

| How far into Gilmore Girls are you- what season? Did a guy named Jess already show up? Quote:
He's only in 12 episodes though, and I haven't yet seen a single spark of "Deanness". For that you have to watch the second season of Dark Angel (check if your library has that, it's not a bad show, despite getting cancelled after 2 seasons) and looks-wise as well as attitude-wise Jensen's character Alec is way closer to Dean than CJ in DC is, although there also striking differences of course. In fact I recommend you watch Dark Angel instead of Dawson's Creek if you just have time for 1 series! And I bet AJ will like it, too. edit: The heat is getting to me, I didn't answer your actual question. Yes, Jensen does add to the series as he is in Jen's storyline and I like Jen very much and am interested in what's happening to her (as opposed to Dawson, I don't care about him that much). Albeit I have to say CJ is a strange character, not really likeable, if it had been up to me I had written him differently. Jensen's acting is fine, though.

| See, TBH, I momentarily despaired of Jared P's acting in Gilmore Girls... his very first lines in that show came across as wooden as a table... IMO!!! I thought, he can only get better... warm up to the role... etc... Thankfully, he did! Ironically, Just before I said to you all that I noticed Jensen in a random Smallville ep I had on my TV in the background as I was doing some 'work from home'.... [I use that term very loosely as it's actually what I am supposed to be doing now... but BudTV has grabbed me instead... YET AGAIN!!!!] TBH, I am really surprised that AJ hasn't got into it more, he can take or leave it, he doesn't get excited about it like he has done other shows, that honestly has surprised me, I thought he would really like it! SPN, to him though is great, he digs that show greatly... lives, breathes and eats it! Slightly OT for a sec, He has just asked me if he can see the movie 'Blood Diamond' thats on TV here at the moment, because, he came across the book in his school library the other day and recognised the title! With that one, I am really not sure!!! Their school library is vast, a book on every subject going! He's above average when it comes to reading and understanding content of books, and understands general storylines well, another reason why I allow him to watch SPN... I get more scared then him... He is constantly looking for wires etc... when anyone is hanging or suspended... etc... We have a laugh together discussing each ep of all these shows in details when we watch them together! Libraries here tend to be good ones, full of something for everyone! I have put in a request that they lend out a copy or two of both PB & SPN asap! We live in hope!!! And back on topic... my days of watching DC is probably over then, It used to be on here on a sunday, in fact, I'm pretty sure it is still on TV from time to time here! I am familiar with some of the actors who are in that show... saw them in other things, None of them, TBH, would be favourite ones of mine though!!! All you who watch it and are fans, please keep enjoying it Dark Angel, have never heard of that one... What's that about? It could very well be on now and I wouldn't know it.... Is that the one with David B in it? Not a follow up to Buffy is it?

| Blood Diamond is the on with Leonardo DiCaprio in it, isn't it? How old is AJ again? I don't think I would let him watch that, it's a very brutal movie. I'm not that surprised that AJ doesn't like Smallville so much, I remember I didn't like it that much when I saw some eps on TV and AJ has proved time and time again to have very good taste, he likes Star Wars after all! Dark Angel has nothing to do with Buffy and no David B. in it. Jessica Alba is playing a genetically enhanced soldier who broke out of "Manticore" which is the evil company that "produces" the genetically manipulated soldiers. It plays in a kind of post-apocalyptic Seattle, where people have a hard time to survive. After being reluctant at first Max (Jessica's character) joins the good fight against evil, corrupt government and companies and all types evil. Jensen plays Alec (he makes an appearance as Alec's twin brother Ben in S1) who is a genetically enhanced soldier, too. Max in S2 manages to take down Manticore and all the soldiers escape, and Alec even more reluctantly than Max was, helps in the fighting evil, too. There's one Alec centered episode and it's truly brilliant. Dark Angel is funny, witty and has action in it. Give it a try. I just looked it up and to my amazement Dark Angel came after DC for Jensen. As for Jared on GiGi: The character itself is a wuss. Sorry to be harsh, he is nice and all, but the way Dean lets Rory walk all over him is painful to watch.
