Firefly conundrum...

Okay, anyone else who is a Firefly fan feel like this ?

How can 1 show with 14 episodes be SO loved, SO immortalized, SO fan obsessed and SO missed......

yet it is not brought back ?

I must say when I hear of "lesser" shows being renewed or 'brought' back I am amazed that the "powers that be" who own the rights to Firefly don't push a little money toward the collective Firefly pot and fire up this show again.

I cannot imagine that the Sci Fi channel wouldn't drool over it or anything else - it comes with a built in fan base - it should have never have aired on FOX in the first place. I bet if it had begun on Sci Fi we would be in the xxxth year of Firefly now.

Anyway, it would be nice to see this show come back - the combination of a "Sci Fi Western" is so unique it was so much fun to watch.

I couldnt aggree with you more, especially when you see what the Sci-fi channel is wasting it's money on now........Flash Gordon

.....to be fair, Flash Gordon SHOULD have been awesome, but it's not......SO BRING BACK FIREFLY!!!!..........please Sci-fi Channel.

I dont know how it has not been brought back. Its insane. The fanbase for it is so passionet and there seems to be nothing we can do to get it back on the air. At least we got Serenity.

I know I totally agree..... Flashgordon is "ok", Painkiller Jane has been cancelled, Battlestar is on its last season.....

Firefly where are you ??? We need you !!

Makes NO sense- I actually wish I could understand why it's not back on the air. There must be an intelligent explanation somewhere as to why ... with its IMMENSE fanbase that it has not been brought back. SERENITY was great, but it's a bandaid on a wound, it doesn't solve the problem.

I think it may have something to do with Fox owning the rights but I could be wrong.

I LOVE Firefly and Serenity and can't believe it was cancelled and can't come back.

And poor Nathan Fillion - he tried FOX again and he was cancelled within what, 6 episodes? And Drive was a perfectly good show, I thought.

How is it that after only one short season, they can succeed in making a whole movie and still not be able to come back? I haven't seen anyone but Zoe (I can't remember her real name) doing anything much. Nathan Fillion has done a few movies, but nothing he couldn't break away from. Oh, I forgot about Adam Baldwin. He's in Chuck...but come on!

...I miss Simon's face, especially with Kaylee. *sniffle*

Yeah, too bad it was canceled.

But I don't think they'll bring it back now... Nathan Fillion has a new TV Show now [if i'm not mistaken]... they've moved on.

Nathan is on Desperate Housewives right now. And he might be coming back to Lost? I don't remember, but I thought I heard something like that.
