'Friday Night Lights' Casting News: Brea Grant to 'Heroes,' Jesse Plemons to 'Fear Iteslf'

Jesse Plemons and Brea Grant made quite the couple on Friday Night Lights. Grant played Landry's rebound love interest during the second season of Friday Night Lights and made a pretty darn good impression on fans and TV executives alike. Jesse Plemons has always been a fan favorite as Landry. NBC is apparently big fans of both. Today, it has been announced that both Plemons and Grant have been cast in two different NBC franchises – one new and one old. Brea Grant is joining the cast of Heroes next season, while Jesse Plemons will appear in an episode of NBC's summer anthology series Fear Itself.

Good for Brea. Loved her as Jean, and I was thoroughly disappointed Landry was an idiot and chose Tyra.

It sounds like Heroes is getting more characters for volume 3. I hope it works out and that this new character has a better write up than the other new characters from volume 2.

Brea was no match at all for Tyra, but it's nice that the actress has another gig. Same goes for Jesse Plemons, who is amazing.

I'm surprised they didn't try to steal away Adrianne Palicki (Tyra), who plays a far more pivotal and dynamic character, instead of just a minor character in Brea Grant. Perhaps they have more in store for Adrianne Palicki in the third season of FNL. Cheers for Jesse Plemons broadening his horizons. He has captured our underdog hearts. Hope to see more of him beyond FNL.

Great for JESSE PLEMONS!!! And good for BREA, too. I liked her in the small time she was on FNL. I JUST CAN'T WAIT FOR FNL TO BE BACK ON. I hope they get a full 22 episodes!
