Connie Britton, Friday Night LightsPreviously on Friday Night Lights, we're reminded of Tim kissing Lyla, the relationship between Buddy and Santiago, Mrs. Williams venting to Tami about Noelle, and the decision to send Gracie to Day Care.

This week, Lyla starts her new job and Tim is initially less than supportive, Santiago's past catches up to him, Smash and Noelle's relationship is further discussed and Tami has separation issues.

This episode was just OK. They pushed the Riggins/Lyla thing. And how obvious was it that he would walk in to see Lyla and her DJ pal kissing? Once again the best scenes where the Coach/Mrs. Coach/Baby Coach dynamic. I'm glad the Santiago thing worked out as well. I thought he might go back to the dark side.

Just the little things like her saying when they where leaving the daycare through the gate, "You have to pull up on that thing, there." Coach: " I know, I know". Mrs. Coach: " Well I didn't know that". It's the little dialogue like that that makes this show so awesome.

I guess we moved some things along in the episode as well as closed a story line or two. Hopefully this was just a transition episode though.

I agree, this was just an "okay" episode. I watch it mostly for Kyle Chandler and the Matt Saracen character, although I'd watch an episode of Early Edition any day over this. Still waiting for a legit release of EE on DVD. Still hoping. I like the way they're developing Smash's character and his mom and not making it so one-dimensional. Boy, Julie's character has tanked, hasn't it? And give us more Tyra. I like they way they developed her character, too.
