Default Historical Error in FG Episode: "Brian Swings and Sings"

Today I watched an episode of your program in the vein hope that I would find something suitable to my sophisticated and urbane sense of humor. Sadly I was strongly mistaken and proceeded to develop a somewhat skeptical look at the show all my pals in the opium den call "fantastic".

In fact, I even noted a grave historical inaccuracy in the episode I watched, the one titled "Brian Sings and Swings". In this half-hour program I saw that the creators had no knowledge of the history of modern technology.

They proceeded to throw a gag on in which Thomas Edison argues with a neighbor, who wants to use his light bulb technology but is denied by the greedy inventor. (Which by the way would never happen due to Thomas Edison's benevolence.) Furthermore, Edison decides to mock his neighbor because he does not watch 'The Office'. This remark is physically impossible due to the following reasons:

The light bulb was created in 1879.

Color Television capable of showing 'The Office' was not available until the 1950s.

Actor Steve Carrel of the office was not born until 1962.

After this disgusting fallacy, the creators of 'Family Guy' proceeded to slap the viewer in the face by having Edison play unbelievable rock music that would never have been culturally acceptable in the times of the late 19th century.

I find these comments to be both shallow and pedantic.

I'm sorry my dear fellows, I was off the chain in that post, however I do conclude with all of you that our meaningless existence is better spent on a television show forum.
