| Ok... Totally on a recommendation from Candyrose here on the forums, I finally sat down to watch Dexter from the very beginning! Season 1.... First three eps... met Dexter character.... learned a bit about the 'rules of Harry' or something... met his sister character who seems to have self esteem issues.... got introduced to really jealous head police lady and a couple of other police /detective guys... Freezer Truck killer story seems to be a good one.... So far I am enjoying this show.... characters seem good too!!! Ok then, those in the know.... explain more about 'Law of Harry' and Dexter character in general...

| I watched the first 5 eps or so of Dexter, but while the character is great and original, it's just too much crime investigation-y for me. Analyzing blood splatter patterns can only hold my interest for a very short time.

| Did you not find the way his mind worked intriguing though? He thought he knew it all on how to kill someone without leaving a mess or clues etc.... however the whole batch of Ice Truck Murders has at least started off as a compelling side story.... one that is giving him more to do.... So far, I get the show... in contrast to you though, I do like murder shows and crime investigation type shows.... Blood spatter eps really have me glued to a show!!!

| I like the dexter little bit and the story of Dexter follows the life Dexter Morgan, who works with the Miami Metro Police Department. He is assigned to the forensic department where he works as a bloodstain pattern analyst. He comes across as the perfect guy who is the main support for his sister Debra. In addition, he has a steady girlfriend Rita whose two children look up to him and find him to be a very adorable person. Although everything seems perfectly fine, Dexter hides a very dark and gruesome secret behind his cool and composed exterior. Last edited by DramaDiva : 07-17-2009 at 01:27 PM. |

| I seriously think a person should watch all of season 1 before making a final decision on the show. I don't really want to go into specifics or anything that could be a spoiler. Season 2 is better than 1, and 3 is better than 2. I can't imagine how season 4 could be better than 3, but I've been surprised already. Twice. Or three times if you count the initial surprise of the first season when the dust had settled. |

| I have just finished watching the whole of Season 1.... watched the lot of it in two nights.... last 5 eps in a row last night.... What a cracking show.... Again, like Supernatural, I really don't know how I missed out on this show when it was around the first time.... I am so mad now that I haven't got S2 in front of me to continue watching.... Rita character does annoy me a bit, that continuas whining is now starting to grate on me, however I can see how she is a good character to have with Dexter, for him to bounce off.... I'm so torn now... do I go online and purchase rest of available seasons for a good price and have to wait a full week or two for them to come... OR do I just pop to store now and buy the seasons at a maybe higher price but be sitting in front of DVD player for rest of weekend.... in less then one hour.... tricky... tricky... tricky..... now what would Dexter do??? hmmmm..... seriously, I AM thinking hard about this one.... I am hooked on this show now.... Talking of all things Dexter/Supernatural.... Great to see Mark Pellegrino in almost the whole of Dexter S1.... He did a cracking job on his character in it.... very sinister.... but also quite sweet in a weird sort of way.... reminds me of many of my past boyfriends...

| So Smiley how long before you actually figured out who the Ice Truck Killer was ? I don't mean his relationship to Dexter , I just mean his identity? Yeah I agree Mark Pellegrino is just about awesome in whatever he does. Although I was not fond of his character , obviously the series wanted me to feel that way. You will see a little more of him outside of this season though. I'd go with the right now version to your problem . I need to work on my patience ...lol...I would want them NOW!! I have to disagree with you Pushtrak . While season 2 was far better than season one I personally found season 3 to be lacking. Not in a way that would put me off from the series. I just did not enjoy it as much as the other seasons and HATED the character Miguel . Ok I am going to stop now as not to spoil Smiley.
