Question Big Unresolved Plot Hole

Has anyone else ever put this together other than me? I have never seen it mentioned anywhere...

Season 1: Deb awakens on the table where Rudy/Biny has her prepped for Dexter in his normal fashion. Shrink wrapped to the table etc. She thinks this is the Ice Truck Killers MO. It is, in fact, Dexter's style. Everyone who is on scene sees how Deb was prepped. They see the anatomy of the crime scene. Rudy dies, etc.

Season 2: Lundy knows the method used to kill the Butcher's victims. He actually mentions this to Dex in the train car noting that the Butcher uses a plastic covered room etc.

****The connection: Rudy is dead. Dexter is not. How does Deb not put together the syle of the Bay Harbor Butcher with the supposed style of the Ice Truck Killer? For that matter how does no one ever put these two things together. One would assume that at least Deb would wonder why Dex has never noticed it (though we know why he hasn't mentioned it). I am also assuming that Lundy has a complete idea of what happened to Deb and he DEFINITELY should be putting 2 and 2 together. ****

I feel that if they were ever to point this problem out that it would point directly to Dexter since there was so much confusion surrounding the "Kill Debra" scene and how he ended up there at that particular time. Not to mention that he was the only one to survive the scene aside from the victim--yet the same style is still used after Rudy is comfirmed dead. Hmmmm.
