| Dexter will soon raid our TV screens when Showtime's psychological thriller returns for a third season this October. Last season, Dexter Morgan, a serial killer who works for the Miami Metro Police Department as a blood spatter analyst, was unable to satisfy his killer urges for over a month due to the discovery of his underwater dumping ground for his victims and the constant surveillance of Sgt. Doakes. After he realized that he was the cause of his father's death, Dexter started to question his identity and the “Code of Harry,” the belief system that rationalizes his existence and survival as a serial killer. In the explosive ending, Sgt. Doakes died and Dexter was able to get himself out of a tricky situation. Now that Dexter is ready to embark on new bloodlust adventures, carefully killing the criminals that have slip through the justice system without the “Code of Harry,” the Miami Metro Police Department has to be more than ready to take down America's favorite serial killer. | Hmm, I suppose the show needs to add a host of new characters to create a new season-long arc. And from a casting perspective, I truly love how diverse this cast is. Hispanics, Asians, African-Americans, it's great to see a show so diverse without making it all about race. |

| Hopefully Season 3 will be better than the third book. I liked it well enough to read it; but it would not make for good television. Hopefully like Season 2 they take just some plot ideas from the book and put that Showtime spin on it. Anyone else have ham steak and eggs for dinner on Dexter nights? |

| I am looking forward to see what Dexter will get up to in season 3. I ejoyed the story with the Ice Truck Killer and how he turned out to be Dexter's biological brother. Great show...most interesting I have seen so far.... I originally watched it because I liked Michael c. Hall's character of David Fisher on Six Feet Under so I gave Dexter a shot, and I was hooked after watching the first episode....controversial but great story. |
