Michael C. Hall as DexterCBS' broadcasts of critical darling Dexter has been met by much protest from television watchdog groups, particularly the Parents Television Council.  Jeff Lindsay, author of the book series on which the dark drama is based, neither condemns nor defends his character's behavior, but has expressed disdain over the group's efforts to screen what audiences tune in to.

"These are idiots who want to determine what we watch and don't watch," Lindsay told USA Today.  "I imagine that at the dark of the moon, they put on their brown shirts and go out goose-stepping."

I like watching Dexter, but why it's now on CBS is news to be? It belongs where it began on Cable T.V. Only on cable T.V. can you get away with more and better raunchy scenes.

They only show reruns on CBS to gather a wider audience for the show. All new episodes will continue to be on Showtime where they belong. But being on CBS, the show can gather a wider audience.

Watchdog groups like PTC make me sick. If you can't be aware what your children are watching, that isn't the fault of the rest of the television watching world. Be responsible for what you and your children watch, don't try and change to face of television to fit your own morale code. People like them make me sick.

Dexter is my show and it's kinda cool that it's on CBS (though I practically forgot CBS existed as a channel since I never watch any shows on it) so the unfortunate souls who don't have cable can still get a chance to see it, albeit edited.

And the watchdog thing is ridiculous. It seems like people would rather argue over TV content than simply sit and monitor what their kids are watching.

These s!@#!@bags who try to control what everyone watches need to die. I'm sure because they have bibles they think they're better than the people who actually are logical.

Ha, I love it when people call the PTC "idiots" because they are truly the worst thing ever. It's like Janet Jackson: one idiot with a computer complains, puts it on a blog, and spams the FCC with complaints. Quit serving as moral police for entertainment. If you object, then how about you don't let your kids watch, and let the rest of us make up our own damn minds. God, I hate the PTC so much.

Five bucks says they actually believe watching Dexter makes you want to become a serial killer. They're so stupid.

Jeff Lindsay is awesome. Something tells me that the PTC hasn't actually watched much Dexter, because it's a fairly tame show despite the premise.
