desperate housewivesFollowing her recent wedding to rapper Jay-Z, R&B superstar Beyonce Knowles is all set to become a housewife, at least on television.  The 26-year-old singer is reportedly in talks to join the cast of ABC's Desperate Housewives, according to MediaTakeOut.com.

Beyonce's father, Matthew, who also serves as the singer's manager, is negotiating to get Beyonce a recurring role on the popular dramedy and is also looking to secure his daughter a more prominent part on the show.

I think its a good idea, since they have been axing so many of the younger stars on Desperate Housewives.

Beyonce can be a new face on the show, but already have a fan base that can bring people in at the beginning of the first season.

They'll just bring her on, then ignore her, like they do every new character on this show. DH needs more than just bringing in a new young sexy lady. Start by focusing on the comedy and not the mystery/drama.

It all depends on her character. I don't care who the actress is as long as the character is good and adds something to the show.

This is such a good idea. Especially, if they bring Edie back, Nicolellte Sheridan and Beyonce teaming up- MAN that would be an amazing storyline

Beyonce is my fav African-American Actress so I'd be glad for her to join the cast as long as she plays a good character with a good plot too

The show has gone so downhill over the last 2 seasons. I was such a fan in the beginning. I really wish they didn't feel like they were at the point where they had to resort to stunt casting.
