The fourth season finale of Desperate Housewives flashed ahead five years, brining about many changes on Wisteria Lane. Gabby (Eva Longoria Parker) appears to be raising two daughters, Bree (Marcia Cross) has a cookbook coming out and her son seems to be her agent, Katherine's (Dana Delany) daughter Dylan is getting married, Lynette (Felicity Huffman) is dealing with her juvenile delinquent sons, and Susan (Teri Hatcher) has a new man in her life, played by Gale Harold. The time leap, which has taken many viewers of Desperate Housewives by surprise, is a drastic change for the ABC dramedy that will possibly shape its fifth season, which is like to begin airing end of September. According to series creator Marc Cherry, the big jump is necessary as it offers “cleanliness” to the show. To read the rest, click here.

When I heard about this I too thought it was just an awesome rumor. I mean, imagine a scenario where Eva Longoria has two fat little kids driving her crazy all the time? Not to mention the fact that now all of these over the hill actresses will have to "Act" 5 years older. Something tells me only a couple of them are even smart enough to comprehend that last sentence...

Time jumps are always weird. Flash forwards are somehow..depressing a bit.

*cough* Copying One Tree Hill much? *cough* No, but seriously, I think it's a good idea. A little space between gigantic life-changing incidents might be nice for a change.
