What state is the setting for DH? I was amused at all the drama they did over the declaration of a Tornado Watch ... people stocking things up, taping up windows, and so on. Perhaps I am just so used to it from living in the south and "tornado alley" and all, but heck ... all that prep during a Watch? Amusing

When Sylvia left the bathroom the wicked witch theme started going through my head because we all knew she was going to get sucked up.

Isn't Felicity Huffman under contract??? It seems impossible that she can just leave, in what was suppossed to be, the middle of the season.

The introduction said, "one will lose a husband, the other a friend." well, we know Victor is dead, so that is the husband. the friend, i think, is the cat that ran out that lynette let go. As for speculation about lynette leaving the show, she is one of the main characters, and there would have to be more publicity talking about it then gossip, which is what it is. If anything, there is speculation that Eva Langoria is leaving to pursue motherhood, which is why her and Carlos are leaving...

Have to agree with MajorRosha all the prep work for a tornado had me laughing like a mad man. Come on! Tornado watches and even warnings make those of us who live with them yawn. You only get to shelter if the sirens go off or you actually see a funnel. Episode written by someone who has never experienced a tornado. By the way, best place to be during a tornado...a bar or restaurant, free drinks and appetizers!

"one will lose a husband and one will lose a friend." The wife losing her husband is clearly gabby losing victor, which should mean the other men are safe. The friend is, i think, Ida. There was so much talk about how she and Mrs McClutsky are friends - which we hadnt heard anything about earlier - so it must be her. My theory is that she notices her cat is gone and she goes to look for it and the something happens, dont want to speculate on how she actually dies. any thoughts?

I don't think they would make such a big deal about the cat dying. Maybe Ida, but where the hell is the rest of the Scavo family??? There was nothing left of the house. I can't wait for the next episode, which I know won't be for weeks. And I do think the beginning said one will lose a husband and they ALL will lose a friend. I sort of took this as one person dying, so I think it's Tom, unfortunately. Plus he was really having a hard time breathing with the cat.

The DH is probably cheating. The voiceover made it sound like they were talking exclusively about those four women, and Ida is a friend to none of them (though since Karen drove by earlier, maybe the VO refers to her as well). My only guess for that: could Carlos be dead? He was a "friend." Of course, killing your husband and your lover is a bit too much for Gabby. The problem is, four seasons in, the writers have already rained so much crap on these people that making their lives any worse would just be cruel and unrealistic. Bree's husband died, Lynette got shot and had cancer, Gabby miscarried, and Susan is stuck being Susan, which is punishment enough. Killing people they love would be just mean.
