Days of our Lives: May 19 Live Thoughts

Days of our Lives begins in the hospital with Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), immediately after giving birth to her son. Lexie (Renee Jones) tells her that the baby boy has been rushed to the NICU, and neither Kayla or Steve (Stephen Nichols) is allowed to see him. Out in the waiting room, Stephanie (Shelley Hennig) wonders if Daniel would be able to help out with the baby since he did such a good job with Chelsea and Bo. Except that treating a baby would be a completely different field of medicine, one that he is not specialized in, but whatever. TV medicine, especially Days of our Lives medicine, is not real.

At home, EJ (James Scott) and Sami (Alison Sweeney) get ready for bed. They don't say a word, but there is a lot of longing and pining and sighing going on.

Mickey Horton pays a visit to Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) at Statesville penitentiary. He asks him if he's ready to come home.
