Default 8/5/08-8/12/08 Prison Break Season 3 DVD Contest

New Prison. New Break.

Most men would think breaking out of prison once is hard enough. However, escaped convict Michael Scofield finds himself wrongfully incarcerated, this time in a Panamanian prison where there are no rules, no wardens and no escape.

Season 3 of Prison Break, starring Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell among other beloved actors, hits stores on August 12, retailing for $49.98. But five lucky BuddyTV fans can get a copy for the low, low price of FREE.

To enter to win, reply to this thread and explain what you are looking forward to most in season 4 of Prison Break? Or maybe you are sick of Prison Break, so tell us why you are not looking forward to season 4.

You have until Tuesday, August 12 at noon EDT to reply. At that time, the thread will be closed and five winners will be selected at random.

Best of luck to all!

You are seriously asking me to tell you why I'm not looking forward to S4. That's bliss.

Ok, here it comes:
I loved how S3 ended. That last shot of Michael riding off with the gun and the rose next to him in the passenger's seat was simply awesome. It conveyed so much emotion and it opened so much possibilities for S4. I was totally psyched for S4. Then they have to go and announce that Sara is alive. After I spent the whole year making fun of the "Sara is not dead people". I made bets on that! After the first shock I was able to have a little fun with that on the board, but I still think it's a horrible idea. However I have now reached a point of a certain calmness where I think maybe not all is lost and the story will not revolve solely around happy MiSa frolicking around in the sunshine at day and rolling in bed at night. I'm willing to give them a chance, despite still thinking bringing Sara back is a sell-out.
What I look most forward to is seeing how Mahone's story continues. This character really grew on me since he first appeared in S2.
Second comes Teddy.

And it would be really really great if I won this DVD, because I'm really not sure that I would buy S3, because Sara's return kind of made the whole season 3 obsolete. But as I liked the season and am a sucker for specials I would love to have it .... so winning it would solve my dilemma.

Hmm...

To be completely honest with you, Debbie, I'd have to say I'm very much looking forward to the show finally ending. (properly) Hopefully this will be the last season, and hopefully they will make it a good one!

What I'm looking forward to the most in the 4th season is
A) Gretchen B./Susan's death.
B) Michael Rapaport joining the cast.
C) Umm... Michael taking down the company? I don't know. :P

In the beginning, when certain spoilers were released to the public, I was a bit hesitant about the upcoming season. All I that came to mind when thinking of season 4 was how everything was going to become MiSa-centric—and then, of course, there was that itsy bitsy fact that I had the image of Sara’s severed head in a box permanently hammered into my brain. Although I can see why the inclusion of romance into the series appeals to some and why they are so anxious to see these two reunite, I always thought Prison Break was much more than a love story—that is, if what they have can even be described as “true” love.
> >
I believed, and still believe, the core of the Prison Break story is about family, how we often forget how much they mean to us until we are painfully reminded of their importance at the onset of tragedy, and sometimes extreme circumstances. It’s kind of like life: We go through life, living as if it may never end…as if death doesn’t even exist…and then when someone close passes away, we are reminded of how we often take our own lives for granted…and just how unpredictable and real death is. There are so many other intricately woven details and themes in the show that can be made into something just as profound and important if one really sits down and looks for them—how people act differently in different sets of circumstances; the line between good and bad and how easily it can be crossed; how we judge others by their actions and sometimes just one act; the prison system and inmate psychology and their interactions; and many others that I don’t have enough time or room to mention.
> >
After seeing the many Prison Break promos that have been released, I can now say that my initial hesitation has been replaced with enthusiasm. Sure, I am still not into the whole MiSa resurrection, but I have found many other reasons to look forward to the upcoming season. For one, the past seasons have given us small tidbits about the company—just enough to spark your curiosity but never enough to satisfy it. I am one of the Prison Break fans who have been completely driven crazy by the little attention that has been given to that side of the story. I want to know more about Gretchen, Padman, what the company is, what they do, and just how expansive and powerful they really are. So far, all I have seen is a bunch of guys toting guns, infiltration into parts of the political system, a guy in a lab coat, a helicopter, and not really too much more. I think Season 4 will give us fans some of the things we have wanted to see and answer some of our questions.

In addition to the company, I am really looking forward to seeing T-bag interact with the boys once more and how he uses the upper hand he has (his possession of the book). I think T-bag is one of those characters you love to hate, but you never want to see out of the storyline. I am also looking forward to this purported teaming up between Gretchen and T-bag. I have always wanted to see him team up with a female equivalent, and although she isn’t what I particularly had in mind, I think it makes sense with the way the story has been shifting and I further believe it will add something really interesting to the recipe that have going. I hope in the process of working together, a twisted romance between the two develops. Although they appear to be completely badass, I think they both have their own demons that haunt them and their own vulnerabilities, and it would be interesting to see if the dynamic between the two will cause these things to surface a bit.
> >
And I cannot forget or leave out Michael taking on the company and getting a little revenge. I wasn’t sure if this was still going to be in the works after news of Sara’s return was released. The last scene of season 3 showed us that Mikey was going after these guys to avenge Sara’s death, and with her being alive, it would seem that trying to run away and make a new life would be an attractive option. I think the writers appear to have come up with a good solution that would bring the boys back together and throw Michael in a circumstance that would require him to face and go after the company, even if he had reservations. I am curious about how far he will really go. In season two, when Sucre talks about wanting revenge, Michael gives him this little speech about how if we give into these temptations, we lose ourselves and that he won’t help Sucre if that’s what he intends to do. I want to see if Michael crosses that line, and thus how much he has changed since he said these words to Sucre. Will the roles reverse; will Sucre or one of the others guys be the ones telling Michael not to give in to his thirst for revenge, reminding him of the consequences of his actions when things seem to be going beyond taking down the company are turn into something completely fueled by rage?

I'm going into this season very

very

Scared...

Personally (I have always loved Prison Break) I think it should have ended with season 3... With a happy (LJ rescued, Lincoln free) but not happy (Sara dead, Sucre locked up) ending...
Now with Sara back or whatever is happening.... with that... Truly upsets me... I loved her and Mike together... but c'mon... really... shes dead....
If Kellerman is brought back I would of course say its the best season ever! lol

I am looking forward to seeing Mahone's reasons for joining with Susan.

What exactally is in the Bird book.

Seeing how they ger Sucre out of prison.

How exactally Michael and Lincoln bring down the company.

And what happens in the aftermath of the company's demise.
