Autographed Supernatural Script Contest FAQs

The prizes:

First prize: One winner will receive the grand prize of an authentic script of the season 2 premiere episode, "In My Time of Dying," signed by both Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki.

Second prize: Four winners (2nd to 5th place) will receive a grab bag of single issues from the Supernatural Origins comic book series.

Third prize: The remaining five winners will receive a copy of the book The Supernatural Book of Monsters, Spirits, Demons, and Ghouls.

How to enter and qualify for the contest:

1. Create a BuddyTV profile and make sure that it is 100% completed. Look for this icon on the lower left of your profile and make sure it is at 100%.



If it isn’t, it is easy to follow the instructions to fully complete it. Profiles that are less than 100% complete are ineligible.

2. Reply to this thread with an explanation of who or what is your favorite Supernatural villain or monster-of-the-week. This will make it more fun and ensure that all winners are Supernatural fans.

3. Invite people to be your friends from the top of your BuddyTV Profile Home page. Remember that you can easily invite friends from your Yahoo, Hotmail / MSN, Gmail, and AOL accounts to be included in your Team points. But in order for them to become your friends, your invitees must confirm that they are your friends. If they do not confirm your request, they are not counted as your friends. You plus all of your friends are considered your Team, and all points earned by your team will go towards your total points. To see an updated leaderboard, go here.

4. Go to the BuddyTV Trivia Quiz and start playing the game. Tell all of your friends to play too. The more friends you have, the easier it will be for you to gain more points.

Scoring:

1. The contest begins on Friday, February 21 2008 at 12:00pm PT and will end on Monday, March 2 at 12:00am PT. The top ten contestants with the most team points earned during this contest period will be awarded as follows: The player with the most team points will win the autographed script. The next four players will win the second prize, and the next five players will win the third prize.

2. Only points earned during the contest period will be counted in this contest. In the rare case of a tie, your individual points will act as a tiebreaker.

3. Adding and removing friends can drastically change how well you are doing in the contest. If you add a friend to your team, you will immediately gain all of his/her points, and he/she will gain all of yours. If you remove that friend, you will immediately lose all of his/her points, and he/she will lose all of your points.

Note on Cheating

It has been brought to our attention from some contestants as well as our IT department that some people are gaming the trivia quiz for the Supernatural contest. I'd like to emphasize right now that cheating is UNACCEPTABLE. We want this contest to be fun for everyone, and we want everyone to have an equal chance at winning. If you cheat, then you are ruining it for everyone else. Please note the following policy changes that we have made in response to this issue.

• We have caught some people cheating, and we are in the process of removing their ill-gotten points. They are still eligible to continue on in the contest as long as they play the trivia quiz fairly. If they are caught cheating again, then they will be banned from the contest and from all future contests.

• Any other users who are found cheating from here on out will also be banned from this and all future contests.

• A time constraint of five minutes has been set on all the trivia questions. This means if someone answers the same question a second time within a five-minute period, the second answer is not recorded. Only the first question will accrue points. After the five minutes has passed, the user is free to answer that question again. This should not affect anyone who plays the trivia quiz fairly and honestly.

The final point I'd like to make is that you're not restricted to only answering Supernatural questions to get points. Have fun by testing your knowledge on some of the other great shows, or set the category to All Shows. Have fun with it!
