I think if I was in the need to be seen by such a doctor as house, I would very much like to be treated by him and his team. Yes there is a lot of poking and prodding on their part, but usually he has some type of epiphany and figures it all out. And hey, technically you're figured out in less than an hour! (show watching terms) and usually on the brink of death, but any other doctor and it would take months and months of testing and referring to other doctors, this way, your with one doctor getting it all out of the way in a couple of days, and its a teaching hospital, so doesn't that mean no bills???

I actually NEED to be treated by House. I am diagnosed with a very rare cancer called Plasmacytoma. I know sence there is a diagnosis i shouldnt need House but the problem is i keep having other problems and my care team has no idea how to treat my problems. they have consulted all the top cancer hospitals in the country, MD Anderson, Mayo Clinic CToA. I am the only 28 year old to ever have this disease, wherein lies the problem. how do you treat someone when there is no record on how they will react. so in my case its not why I would like to be treated by House, its how bad i NEED to be treated by House.

the other doctors from the real Princeton/Plainsboro Hospital (acually Princeton Medical Center is in the process of moving from Princeton to Plainsboro), I think most of the doctors here (I am at PMC as I write this) would do a good job. So, House probably wouldn't make much of a difference. Brian -- Lieutenant, Plainsboro Rescue Squad

Granted, House may have very few redeeming human qualities, besides his gorgeous eyes, but he saves lives. If I were suffering from some obscure disease, he is the one I would want to treat me because he would cure me!

House may not always have the best bed side manner. But he knows his stuff. If I needed a diagnostition then I would want him and his team. He may be excentric but he stays with a case until it is solved. I could put up with the attitude because I know that he would find out what was wrong with me.

I'd rather not have to find myself in the position of being treated by House cause every patient that he has treated has had some sort of really wacked out condition. I would however like to be part of his team so that I could watch the master in action and learn from him.

Would I like to be treated by Dr. House? That certainly depends. I'd not like to waste his time with some garden-variety sickness... thank goodness that I have never been seriously seriously ill... yet. If my life were in danger, though, I would only be treated by Dr. House if I lived close enough. As a Canadian, it would be pretty difficult to get all the way down to see him, and I'm confident that Canadian doctors and diagnosticians could find what's wrong with me. If worse came to worse, though, and fate just happened to throw me a break (i.e. everything just came together and my case was assigned to House for some reason), I would live with it. I would probably not prefer having numerous tests done, and random treatments started just to test a theory (even brain surgery...). In short, I'd live, and I'd appreciate it, but I would feel kind of violated at the same time. If I did live, I would be grateful, however.
