| well i decided to ask friends who watch family guy who they thought i was most like to see how it would compare with my answer. my friends were split between peter and evil monkey. peter in the way he is fun to be with and has a carefree attitude and evil monkey as being so judgemental and point out things. for me the way i would state i am a cross between brian and quagmire. quagmire as i to am a wild and crazy guy who raves to have someone with me at all times causes one cannot have fun when there is no one important in ones life and brian how he enjoys the finer things and cannot stand anyone who is dumb or imcomptent especially when in reality they might not be but just be that way cause its easy. |

| I most readily identify with Chris Griffin, but not in the way you would immediately think of. I'm not overweight, I never struggled at school, I don't have an earring, I don't suffer from self-esteem issues, and I'm not a middle child. But when I was a younger lad, I was just as misunderstood as the middle Griffin child. Just like Chris, everyone always seemed to have very low expectations for me. Nobody gave me the benefit of the doubt and my peers practically left me to be just another piece of flesh in the hallways of the educational system. I finally found my outlet in artistic expression, much like Chris did. All of a sudden people were fascinated by me. They wanted to know what inspired me and they wanted to watch me work, as if I were some kind of virtuoso. I won a few contests, received accolades and honors, met several "important" people and several artsy-fartsy colleges tried to recruit me during my last two years of high school. I didn't have a huge falling out like Chris did (I never painted any Warhol-esque pictures of my father), but I did come to the realization that, while art was a passion of mine, I only enjoyed doing it as a hobby. Making it a profession defeated the purpose for doing it. I didn't care if the world loved my work. I didn't want to cater to the demands and expectations of professors and critics. As long as I was pleased with my work, that was enough for me. You can't express yourself honestly while under a deadline o under the watchful eyes of others, so I said goodbye to the art world, got a communications degree and never looked back. So, yeah, I definitely identify with Chris Griffin. We're both artistic and misunderstood. That and I have an evil monkey living in my closet.
