Default 11/27/07-12/4/07 Best of The Colbert Report Contest

For this week's contest, BuddyTV is pleased as punch to be giving away two copies of The Best of the Colbert Report DVD as well as two Stephen Colbert posters.

The Best of the Colbert Report hit streets earlier this month, and it is chockfull of as much truthiness as you can handle.

To enter the contest, imagine that Stephen Colbert will be elected as President of the United States next November. Obviously, it's a big job and he'll need someone to take over hosting The Colbert Report. Who do you think he should appoint to take over the show and why? Reply to this thread with your answer before Tuesday, December 4 at 11:59am ET/8:59am PT. The thread will be closed at that time. One winner, selected by the BuddyTV editorial staff based on best response, will receive a copy of the DVD and a poster. Two winners will be selected randomly to receive a DVD and a poster, respectively.

I'm really looking forward to reading your answers, so take some time to think of a good one! Best of luck to all!

I think he should continue to do the Colbert Report himself, thus ensuring he maintinas a strong connection to the people

Stephen gives and gives and gives. The job of the President involves working every day to tell the people what he believes and kissing babies and hugging mothers and running in front of buses to save little children. It's a stressful job, and there's only so much for even Stephen to be able to contribute to the world.

That is why I feel that the best person to take over The Colbert Report is Stephen Jr. Junior has learned all of what he knows from his father, and should be ready, willing, and able to carry the Colbert legacy on. Junior can channel his father's energy best and nail people just as hard, fast, and furious. Eagles have a natural rivalry with bears for fish, so he shares that part of Daddy's genes.

Besides, truthiness is hereditary.

The first person who came to mind is Al Gore. Don't ask me where that came from!

After seeing him on SNL, Brian Williams would do a great job.
