Hello Members,

We're really excited to welcome all you Naruto fans to the BuddyTV family. The BuddyTV forum is a really vibrant place where fans from all over the world gather together to discuss their favorite TV shows, and I'm sure that Naruto will fit right in. To show our appreciation for you, we are running a special contest for the Naruto forum. We are pleased to give away one copy of 'Naruto the Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow.'

To enter the contest, reply to this thread with your answer to the question "Who has the worse childhood, Naruto or Aang from Avatar: The Last Airbender? Why is it worse?" You have until Monday October 22nd at 12PM EST to respond to this thread with your answer. After that time, BuddyTV editors will select one winner based on best answer, so take some time to carefully craft a response.

I say Naruto. Naruto grew up without a family, and was always teased and no one would play with him. He had the demon fox sealed within him, and from the parents strange behavior to him, the children wouldn't do anything with him. He finally found someone he liked, Sakura, but she didn't like him and he was crushed. Naruto put up with alot as a child. He couldn't focus in school and didn't do good in any of the things, and kids made fun of him for that, too. Naruto was always neglected which led him to do foolish things to try and get the attention of others. When he finally found a cool sensei that he looked up to, he found out that the demon fox sealed inside of him had killed his sensei's parents. And Mizuki tried to kill Iruka as well. Naruto definitely had it worse as a child.

hmm... Aang IMO... he was 12 when his world was ripped apart and then he lost everything 100 years later... and he found the skeleton of the man he loved like a father... so thats really bad... naruto never knew whats its like to lose a parent but Aang didnt lose 1 family member he lost 100's or 1000's of family members... and b4 he lsft he was being treated liek Naruto... different... an outcast... and thats only b4 the show... lets not forget all the problems he went through over the coruse of the Show liek when he met Bato and his 2 true friends not to mention the love of his life left him alone...

Aang,because he was trapped in an ice thingy and later he has to rucsh to fight many enimes. All naruto does is missions to aid other villages.Aang has to save the whole entire world.

I believe Naruto had a worst childhood. For Aang he grew up happily, until he was told he was the Avatar. He then left and a hundred years later Katara (SP) freed him from the iceberg. He might have found someone he really liked, and then her brother, Sokka(sp) as a friend. He then had friends and made friends fairly easily. Naruto, on the other hand, has a demon sealed inside him; he found it near to imposable to make friends because of this. Aang left by his own will, Naruto had no choice in the sealing of the demon. Aang is supposed to save the four nations. Naruto only lives by what he can earn. No one respects him, well when he is older, but as a child, he has no one. Naruto grew up shunned by an entire village, bullied by the few kids who went near him among other things, through all this he never was told why he was being treated like this until he was 12. Aang grew up not knowing he was the Avatar, until the monks told him, he chose to run away.

Do you think being a victim of a sacrifice is ok??

There are two things lived inside Naruto
A Demon Fox and a lonely boy looking for a family,a friend and a community.

Alone, sad, & feared
These are the feelings he got through
As Naruto cries on gaaras death:
"Do you have any Idea what kind of burden he carried?"
"You have no right to act like youre better, to label us and use us"

-Great power will cost you your happines
-Being a host of a demon is not that easy
-We only need to look closer inside, rather seeing what our eyes want us to see

Naruto has the worst past because...
1: His dad sealed a giant demon into him.
2: He was always alone and was always in pain because of that.
3: Naruto had no one not even a animal like appa. <(I don't watch avatar anymore so idk how it's spelled)
4: Naruto was treated like dirt by almost everyone who knows his past. Aang <(Also not spelled correctly.) is only hated by 1 nation, Not the Hole world.
5: Aang may have lost every one... But Naruto never knew his dad mom or anyone in his family, He had to work for everyone to trust him and respect him.
6: Naruto does not have 2 body guards like uh I forgot their names...<(I have not watched the show in 2 years give me a brake.)
7: Aang does not have to worry about being taken over by a demon... or killed by it. (They both need to worry about being captured.)
8: Aang has a honorable past in his other lives... Naruto has nothing...
As you can see I think Naruto has the worst past...

I would say Naruto. Naruto has had a worse life than Aang becasue Naruto nEver knew his mother, father or even if he had brothers or sisters. Also because the people in the Hidden Leaf Village ridiculed Naruto because of the Nine-Taild Fox Demon in him, so they said insulting comments to him and hated and avoided him. Aang's life was better that Naruto's because he had a home, people liked him and her had friends, until he became the Avatar, that is. But still, he had friends and a person who cared for him like his own son, Monk Gyatso.

Naruto had the worse childhood because even though Aang was shunned for part of his life, and he lost everything, naruto was ALWAYS shunned, and he didn't know why. Aang at least knew why. To me, it's like compairing sasuke's childhood to naruto's. Naruto never HAD anything, and so he hated everyone, and if it wasn't for iruka-sensai, he would be like gaara. Naruto also was feared, and he never really knew love until iruka came along. Aang at least had friends for most of his early life. Thus, naruto had the worse childhood.

i believe that naruto had a much worse childhood for many reasons. First off as a child he had the Kyuubi sealed in him since konoha had been fighting kyuubi they had hated naruto. Also that when he was kid none of the others kids treated him with respect. And how people thought he was never serious when was young since he would always cause trouble like tagging the the hokage mt. Also since he had no parents and didnt even know wat happened to them that had to be deppressing. And how he was percieved as one of the most annoying ninjas people didnt like him that much because of that. And how people thought he couldnt achieve anything people were wrong because when he fought neji hyuuga he was winning by a long shot with that it suprised people. Also when he achieved rasengan people shocked like Tsunade since she thought he had no chance in doing it.
