Did you all watch the season 3 premiere of How I Met Your Mother last night? I did, for sure. This is seriously like one of my favorite shows--I ranked it #3 in my list of top ten returning shows. I think Lily and Marshall are like the cutest couple ever, not to mention both being alums of two of my favorite shows. And Barney. He is one of the best supporting characters in sitcoms. He really steals every scene he's in.

So, this week's contest is for four copies of season 2 of How I Met Your Mother. The DVD hits the streets on October 2, but you can get yours for free here! To enter the contest, reply to this post with your answer to the question "How should Barney get his third slap?" As usual, three winners will be chosen randomly, and the fourth will be chosen based on the best answer. You have until October 2 (the very same day that non-winners can go out and buy their own copy) at 11:59am ET/8:59am PT. ... i think it would be funny to have marshall slap him in the bar while he is hitting on a girl. Barney would then turn this in his favor while the girl felt sympathy for him. Thus, allowing barney to take her home. I doubt this would happen, especially with the sneaky/creepy way they talked about it last night, but funny nonetheless. No matter what they decide i know it will be Legen...wait for it...

I would like to see Barney take Lily out for a manly "day of beauty". They both go get facials, manicures/pedicures. When Barney least expects it (possibly while wearing a mask), Marshall sneaks up behind him and slaps the cucumbers off his face. One of them could possibly fly into Lily's mouth and she starts to choke. Barney, of course, knows the Heimlich maneuver and saves Lily's life. Marshall feels guilty for the whole thing. At this point, Barney uses that to his advantage saying that some day he will ask Marshall to do a favor, no questions asked. Marshall obliges.

Barney and the slap... this is such a storyline in the show!

How should he get slapped by Marshall while they're all playing at hide-and-seek.

Ok, that sounds strange but listen carefully to the whole story: all the friends come to spend a funny night so they decide to play games. But the fact is they've got nothing with them, so Lily submits the idea of choosing a game they used to enjoy when they were children. Hide-and-seek is the game they all loved, so they immediately choose the one who’ll eyed-close count down... and this will be this poor Ted. So all the others hurry to find a hiding place but Barney seems to haven't got a great idea: the fridge? "No, it's so uncomfortable!" ; under the sofa? "Oh, too dusty for my three-piece suit!" ; In the shower? "Robin takes so much space!"... He decides to go in Lily's bedroom and by the way, to look inside the drawer of her chest of drawers and unfortunately, he comes across her underwear. He can't help himself touching them and laughing about the strange cotton in which they are made and their stupid yellowish color. Suddenly, he hears Ted coming to the room so he hasn't got the other choice to open Lily's walk-in closet and get inside very quickly. The fact is, Ted enters the room but he doesn't find him, hidden behind a ceremonial big black dress of Lily. By the way, he's the last one hidden and after fifteen minutes of intense searches of him, he decides to get out of his hiding place and shouts to all his friends that he's the best one in this game. They all smile and Barney taps on Marshall's shoulder just to laugh at him but in the meantime Lily notices something weird about his hands: they're yellow! "How could this be possible?" Ted wonders in a loud voice. "I don't know", Barney replies, intrigued... "Don't tell me you were in my bedroom!" begins to say Lily. "How did you know that?" "Because the only way to get your hands turn yellow on this house is to touch my self-made underwear!" They all stare at him and Marshall moves back, realizing that his shirt is yellow on his shoulders. He begins to scream that it will never get away of his shirt and Lily moves in to slap Barney across his face because of her underwear ; Marshall holds her back, throwing his hand on the air and slapping Barney in his face. "This one is for Lily's underwear and my shirt! Never do that again, Yellow Hands!"

so I only watched the first Season...but what the hell!!!!

ok, so barney is sitting in the bar waiting for ted to breen beer !! he sees a hot girl! he goes you know, trying to hit on her...thing leads to an other he's disrespectful,poushy! she has a boyfriend or maybe she's a lisbain hihihi...she slaps him!

Oh I love this show! Barney is legen...wait for it....dary! lol

Third slap should be at a totally unexpected moment....maybe when Barney is at the bar getting ready to take a drink! Oh or maybe Marshall could dress up as a girl, go to the bar, wait for Barney to hit on him...Barney says his pickup line, girl turns around, surprise its Marshall...SLAP! Soooooo many possibilities! I can't wait!

I think that Barney should get slapped on his wedding day. I think he will finally get married and when that day comes, so will the slap. It's not for a while but what a moment it would be. Terrible and funny all at the same time.

Well, i have never watched the show because it is on the same time as Prision Break or Hero's, but what better time then if i won the DVD's to start.
