I somewhat agree, but at the same time I believe that he is just the same as his friends, or at least similar, or her wouldn't be hanging out with them. I think seeing them with their spouses will make him want that. I'm not saying it will happen this season, or even in the near future. Just saying that that would be a very cool time for the slap to happen.

i think it would be great if he was sitting down to go to the bathroom at a bar or club or something and we saw marshall sneak out from behind a painting or something on the wall behind barney and really smack barney good for number 3 and then he walks out of the bathroom with a red mark on his face and toilet paper on attached to his shoe and heads for the door to go home with his head down in dismay that he has to be smacked 2 more times still!!!

Barney falls asleep while doing something important, so as a way of waking him up, Marshall decides to slap him.

I don't watch the show regularly, but do we really need a *reason* to slap Barney??? I mean, that just kind of goes without saying.

I think Marshall should be driving by in a car and put his arm out the window to slap Barney on the street. THAT would be a super slap.

I think Barney should get a tattoo on his ass, be showing it off, and Marshall slaps him on the butt/tattoo. I would LAUGH!!!!

How about this as we know Marshall set a counter on Barney's computer till the slap occurs so Barney vows to stay awake cause Marshall bets him (barney loves to gamble) if Barney can stay awake for 2 days straight Marshall will not slap him and pay him $1000. Anyway it comes down to the last 30 mins so the show could do a sorta 24 spoof ala the episode being done in real time and it appears Barney one but for the entire episode Barney has realy been asleep cause Marshall moved all his clocks ahead by 30 minutes and at the end of the episode it appears the clock has hit zero. Now Barney in his dream thinks he has won and goes around and says yes then the screen again like 24 fades to black and then you hear a slap and you hear Barney go "Nooooooo !!!" and thats end of the episode.

Another idea cause I did not see anything we can enter more then once and I would like to win this cause my niece is a big fan of the show. Have Barney appear to be a victim of identity theft and that someone heck maybe even Marshall call the women Barney has ever been involved with to show up at the bar they frequent and when these women see each other in the line up they find out how Barney is and in alot of the cases he has lied to them. So one at a time they all go in where some slap him, others poor drinks over him and other things to show their disgust and as the episode ends the last person in line is Marshal who slaps him and thats end of the episode.

I think it might be kind of funny if Barney's slap has absolutely no context at all. He doesn't really do anything in particular to deserve it, Marshall doesn't set it up or anything... he just slaps. The gang could just be spending time at the bar or the apartment like they usually do, and for no apparent reason BAM! Barney gets slapped.
Not only would the slap be funny in itself, but now Barney would live in fear of those last two slaps!
