Ever since Jorja Fox hung up her CSI glove, producers have been looking for a replacement that will fill in the void of the forensic drama. With the casting search underway, many rumors have surged regarding actresses who may possibly join the cast, including Battlestar Galactica's Katee Sackhoff, who was recently junked for the opening. Now, the search is over. CSI has tapped Lauren Lee Smith, actress known for her recurring role on The L Word, to join the cast as a series regular. According to a CBS spokesperson, the Canadian actress is expected to play the character Bryce Adams, a "flirtatious, witty and strong-willed non-conformist" that is enlisted to join the Las Vegas graveyard shift led by Grissom (William Petersen). Other members of the forensic crew include Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger), Nicholas "Nick" Stokes (George Eads), David Hodges (Wallace Langham), Det. Capt. James "Jim" Brass (Paul Guilfoyle), Gregory "Greg" Sanders (Eric Szmanda) and Dr. Albert "Al" Robbins (Robert David Hall). To read the rest, click here.

Nice addition to the show. Though I wonder how much longer CSI Las Vegas will run for. Any guesses?

I just hope they don't make her a love interest for anyone on the show. Lets see what the crew can do as a team, not as couples.

I hope they don't replace Warrick as well. IMO six CSI's are enough.

No one will ever replace Jorja on CSI, they should quit saying she's Jorja's replacement and just say she's a new addition to the show, but with her being thrown in our faces as Jorja's replacement then I for one already don't like her, and don't think I can and I'm sure many other Sara/Jorja fans are gonna feel the same way. I just hope that she won't be a love interest to Grissom, for me that would be the end of the show.

I really do like Lauren Lee Smith. Casting her is a huge step up from Jorja Fox, who I thought was a horrible actress. I wonder who they're going to replace Gary Dourdan with. He's going to be quite difficult to replace.
