The Las Vegas Police Department just lost one of their best detectives in their Crime Scene Investigations Bureau.  This week, it became official: Jorja Fox, who plays Sara Sidle on the hit CBS show, CSI, is leaving.  Her character had been in a relationship with co-worker Gil Grissom for the last few seasons and rumors suggested the two would get married in an upcoming episode.  Yet, in interview surrounding her exit, Fox makes comments suggesting that a full resolution will not occur between the two characters.  She also talked about her reasons for leaving the show.

That is soooo wrong. I may not watch anymore. Thanks CBS, proving once again that networks do not care what their viewers think. CSI will never be the same again. Im just happy i have previous seasons on DVD so i can watch episodes with jorja fox

I'm sorry, I never bought nor do I understand the relationship between Sara and Grissom. For several years, she pursued him like a stalker, but he wisely rebuffed her, citing the difference in their age, for one thing. She's an okay character and actress, but not one of the big stars of the show to me. On the other hand, I hope they are NOT going to make "Ronnie (as in Veronica) Lake" a continuing character. She is a total nuisance and only cute if you are, like, 12. LOL

A follow-up to my comment, and a weird connection. I actually knew a girl in college named Sara Seidel... same name, just spelled and pronounced a little differently. But it's always been strange for me to hear her character's name.

"This might sound vain"...yep. I gotta say I will be OK with this. The only characters that would make me bail on the show upon departure would be Grissom and Brass. Everyone else to me could be replaced and we'd probably be OK. Maybe Stokes...my wife does enjoy him immensely.

I dont think that it was UP to CBS. We all know that she wants MORe money & they wont give. SHe isnt all that to me. I like the other PEPS a lot better then her. I think that the show will do great w/o her in it. I have never liked her from the first epsd. BY Jorja have a nice like. Know if if one of the other cast memmbers left.........then I might have to say goodbye, but till then. Im watching!!!

I'm so disappointed but not by Jorja but by the fact that i won't be able to watch my favourite character on CSI any more. Despite the sadness I'm glad that this speculations are finally over. As long as she's leaving because of personal reasons I'm fine with that. She knows what's best for her and she definitely deserves it.

I hate the fact that Jorja is leaving the show. Ive heavily followed her character since the begining and its a dissapointment to me that the grissom and sara thing might work out... I was almot n tears the first episode of this season. I also may continue to drop the show and cbs really dosent care what their viewres think and their viewer ratings are going to drop from this. But fox muxst know whjats best for her and im rooting for her even though the show is going to suffer beacause of it.

i bet that is why that one new girl is "following" her on the show. so people can "get use" to her instead of sara. that is sad, i've liked her a lot. well, the first season she was kind of a B****h, but hey every show changes.

I'LL MIS YOU SARA!
